Surprising email coming at three? I think it’s a possibility…

Wouldn’t that be funny if they gave no warning omg smh

[More than ONE HUNDRED earthquakes hit California as ‘swarm’ rattles southern tip of state | Mail Online](<a href=“More than ONE HUNDRED earthquakes hit California as 'swarm' rattles southern tip of state | Daily Mail Online”>More than ONE HUNDRED earthquakes hit California as 'swarm' rattles southern tip of state | Daily Mail Online)
Looks like decisions won’t be released for a while…
But in more interesting news: [Urban Dictionary: Stanford Earthquake](Urban Dictionary: Stanford Earthquake)

The article was published August 26. There’s no way it would cause decision delays this late. Especially since it was near San Diego.

As a Los Angeles resident, no. Just no.

Applying to MIT; that’s second choice. Followed by Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Caltech, Penn, possibly Chicago…UMich is my absolute safety (best benefit of being from Michigan hell yeah!)

They’re not going to do it with no warning…would they D:

And it honestly doesn’t help to think that “decisions have already been made” because of Schrodinger’s cat. Until I observe the decision, I have been accepted, rejected, and deferred; therefore, effectively no decision has yet been made from my point of view.

That is a terrible application of Schrodinger’s cat; I am aware of that, thank you.

Well, it’s past 3PM PST and still nothing anywhere. Friday it is?

^^I HAVE TOTALLY BEEN APPLYING QUANTUM MECHANICS TO THIS SITUATION TOO.

I think, well right now I have both possibilities, but once I get my decision, one of those is lost forever. GAH. It is a poetic way to look at it though. I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking that way.

^ Not really a terrible example. With string theory/parallel universes/quantum fluctuation, all events have, are and will occur, so the one you end up perceiving won’t actually be until you perceive it. So basically, you may be the lucky stressedasian, or not so lucky, in the particular plane and awareness you are experiencing.

At the newtonian level, yeh, its done.

@Holocene: out of curiosity, what was your source? I had really gotten my hopes up so this was kind of disappointing. So close now anyway, I guess it just killed time. 72ish hours and we’ll know!

Sounds about right… Dang was really hoping for today

lol @stressedasian my main common app essay was exactly what you wrote almost word for word. It was an analogy with schrodinger’s cat and I basically said those exact sentences

me want stanford bad.

@coffee, @stressedasian. Very poetic! Gah. I kinda like that perspective…

Really nice analogy to Schrodinger’s cat(:

Dude, it killed me, too. My heart hurts </3 However, I’m not going to tell you. If I was going to, I would have done so awhile back. I suppose at this point it will most likely be Friday. It’s more business days than usual, but there was the hurricane and whatever.

tfw had to google Schrodinger’s cat lololol.
