<p>Pretty sure the number who applied could be anywhere from 40-50 from my school…maybe even more. And I’m sure HUNDREDS more from the Bay Area alone. So freaking competitive here.</p>

<p>I couldn’t take it any more…I had to join in on the conversation. I feel like you guys are the only people who really get how big of a deal this is. In South Dakota, Stanford is pretty much a nonentity, so it’s super refreshing to interact with people who are just as excited as I am. I love you all, and may the odds be ever in your favor.</p>

<p>@InHindsight: I was able to zoom in. The reports show stressedasian152 and Holocene in the “admit” column. Strange that both are listed by their CC handles.</p>
<p>Less than 10 from my school, which is really great haha. Usually about 20+ apply SCEA. But, of course, there are hundreds from the Bay.</p>

<p>I heard Stanford usually admits by regions of the USA, so California and adjacent states would usually be one regions and so forth. Is that still true?</p>
<p>@nygiants Yeah it tells us how many applied, were accepted, and attended each school for the past 5 years. Though nobody can figure out if the 30 is only EA or everyone…</p>
<p>All schools usually do that to some extent, at least to narrow down applicants after the first round of readings (which are done regionally). So if you’re qualified and from an underrepresented area, that’s a bigggg advantage.</p>

<p>@nygiants Well the count has been the same since around Nov 1, so the uncertainty was whether it counts submitted apps or includes people intending to apply (which you can also indicate elsewhere on the site) as well</p>

<p>I guess it will be Friday then. It’s what the likely letters said and the chance of it being on a weekend or after December 15 are slim to none. Only a few more days guys :/</p>
