Hey guys I’m really nervous about one thing…
If Stanford does not offer interview for you, does that mean you’re not accepted…?

littlebirdpoo, Stanford only offers interviews in select states.

I’m an international student…
So…Is that the deciding factor here?
I’m quite nervous now because I wasn’t offered an interview…

Huhmm imagine if the decisions will be released on Monday~ More time to weep over the lateness xD

No worries guys.
They will come out in 2 days the latest

I just give up. They’re never gonna come out.

I guess I’m definitely in the minority here, but as much as I love science I still believe in the traditional Biblical documentation of creation by an Almighty God, that He performed great miracles and is with us even to this day. I believe every word of the Bible and base my outlook on life stemming out from that. Science has a place in religion; I’m not trying to say “Jesus good, science bad!” Because God created science. It is a wonderful thing. However, I believe that just because something isn’t “scientifically possible” doesn’t mean it can’t still occur. That’s what makes it a miracle.
And if miracles didn’t happen, I wouldn’t be here right now chatting with you folks since I was born 2 months early, and my mom was warned that I could potentially be mentally deficient and never be able to even formulate a full sentence on my own. That’s if I was lucky enough to live long enough to get to that point.
I didn’t mean to get into my life story ahahaha but my point is, I can’t simply NOT believe in God and all He has done for me since without him, I would truly not exist.

Uh, anyways, it’s Thursday at 5:58AM! Yay NorCal! I have to go to school again
meh. I just want to take finals and go on break already.

lol i forgot someone posted that yesterday too.
but hey on the bright side, you can say that decisions are gonna come out ‘‘tomorrow’’~ xD but now that the date is so close… i feel nervous now. Don’t know if I will have the courage to even read the email… T—T actually I just need to read the first sentence… huhmmm

btw did stanford ever send out wrong admission letters? UCLA did last year :/

the interview plays an extremely small part in the admissions process like a super small part

None of the international students do interviews

So it seems two ranges of time is fairly possible.
Either today 1:00 - 5:00 PM PST,
or Friday’s.
Right?

check the announcement on stanford admission news at around 9AM and 12PM. If they don’t announce it today then it will possibly be tomorrow. I really hope it’s today! :(

Somebody from my school (international) got a skype interview :/

I’m from MA, and I got an interview. I’m sure they take it into account for people who got one, but they’re very explicit in saying that if you weren’t offered one, it won’t count against you. I hope it can help though, mine went really well…

It seems pretty much guaranteed that decisions come out tomorrow, given everything we know. WAITING SUCKS

I just want to give even more props to @norwhale. This playlist is so chill and perfect for what my emotions are doing right now. May you get into Stanford for your compassion and the richness that you would give to the Palo Alto community.

Then I am afraid you have been ironically misguided, to fulfill the will of the devil. Pity.

" “If you hear in one of your cities, which the LORD your God is giving you to live in, anyone saying that some worthless men have gone out from among you and have seduced the inhabitants of their city, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods’, then you shall investigate and search out and inquire thoroughly. If it is true and the matter established that this abomination has been done among you, you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it and all that is in it and its cattle with the edge of the sword. “Then you shall gather all its booty into the middle of its open square and burn the city and all its booty with fire as a whole burnt offering to the LORD your God; and it shall be a ruin forever. It shall never be rebuilt. “Nothing from that which is put under the ban shall cling to your hand, in order that the LORD may turn from His burning anger and show mercy to you, and have compassion on you and make you increase, just as He has sworn to your fathers, if you will listen to the voice of the LORD your God, keeping all His commandments which I am commanding you today, and doing what is right in the sight of the LORD your God." Deuteronomy 13.12-18.

@kuristenx: I agree with you 100%.

If you mean that the verse is telling me to kill people and steal from them, that is a false interpretation of the verse. That quote from Deuteronomy is in the context of the Old Testament, before Jesus Christ saved all of mankind from their sins. People were living with their sins on their shoulders instead of having Jesus to stand between them and God and thus give them more grace. One of the Ten Commandments says that “thou shalt not have any other gods before me”. God was enforcing discipline upon those whose hearts were hardened against Him and would never turn to Him. God is a merciful God, but He also is a jealous God, and since there was essentially no buffer between those people and God, His wrath was extended. He gave them plenty chances and they squandered all of them.

What a great demonic formula:

Leviticus 20:9

If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.

(Perfect for stupefying the population)

20:10 If a man commits adultery with another mans wifewith the wife of his neighborboth the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

(Sexual repression. Fantastic! That’s sure to create an agressive society, perfect!)

20:13 If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death.

(Kill all the homos, thats got to do something good I’m sure. God knows best.)

Deuteronomy 22:20-1 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the girls virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her fathers house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her fathers house.

(Oh? The hymen broke while she was horse-back riding? Or wait… she perhaps wanted to have sex. Great, more sexual repression. Kill em all.)

Exodus 35:2

For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.

(Refusing to take a rest, huh? WELL THEN YOUR REST SHALL BE PERMANENT!)

Deuteronomy 7:1-2 When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations . . . then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy.

(And remember, slaughter is hotter! And you want god to think you’re sexy.)

Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

(Second class citizens, eh?)

Exodus 21:20-21 If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.

(Ah, abuse is cool? Cool.)

1 Peter 2:13 Submit yourselves for the Lords sake to every authority instituted among men.

(My ***** owns you, and you should accept that… or uh… uh… uh GOD WON’T LOVE YOU! -The devil)

2:18 Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.
Leviticus 25:44-45

(Turn the other cheek. Respond to hate with love, man. God wanted you to be a slave and experience this. It’s cause he’s so compassionate.)

Leviticus 25:44-45 Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property.

(Human slavery for the win.)

On a serious note, the amount of suffering these passages prompted is despicable, detestable, and could only be the work of the demons. These passages go on and on and on. You believe every word of the bible? You my friend, have either not read the bible, or should seek spiritual cleansing.
