<p>@humbleone and @schmda: i’m pretty much in the same boat as schmda. Did most of duke this weekend but holding off to do the super annoying ones. but as i’ve said HPY i’m planning on just recycling my stanford ones if necessary.</p>
<p>I’m applying to Princeton today actually, and I’m done with Columbia and will be applying no matter what Stanford says. If I have time I’ll work on some more, but there are 3 I haven’t even started that I won’t need if I get into Stanford, so I’m waiting on those.</p>

<p>I think I got rid of all of my nerves by freaking out so much last week. I think I’ll be fine until we get the notice that we will be hearing that day. Then I’m going to go insane.</p>

<p>Damn I getting worried about an essay I wrote…For what “matters to you” essay, guys, did you guys focus on personal issues/inclinations? I focused on something global…and I’m getting worried if what they wanted was something more personally linked lol</p>
<p>@skim14: Mine isn’t about my family or anything super personal, but mine is a global thing that I connected to my life so far and what I want to do with my life. Nothing really emotional necessarily, but it is about me.</p>

<p>I wrote my “what matters to you” essay about people. plain and simple, people matter to me. the friendships they provide, the lessons you learn from talking to them and all the experiences you have with people shape and mold you into the person you are right now.</p>
<p>skim: If you’re wondering what they want when they ask “what matters to you”, the answer is that they want to know WHAT MATTERS TO YOU. Be that global or personal, as long as you honestly care about it, I believe it will show, and that will reflect well on you.</p>
<p>Secondly, it’s done. It’s over with. Stop worrying about things you could have done differently, because you can’t redo them.</p>
