I still have not received any supplements to fill out from RPI/AMC. Should I be worried? Also if I still have not heard from Union/AMC (and I already submitted the supplement back in December) what does that mean? Should I give them a call?
how many people get interviewed for RPI after submitting the supplements? how many even get a supplement?
is it worth filling out the supplement and paying 150 dollars?
idk.
Thanks and I hope that you guys receive an interview invite as well.
@starwatch, my son submitted his AMC supplement via union way back early December. However, he submitted his AMC supplement via RPI just this last week of January.
@Me4collegeâ, he needs to upload his photo before he can view the response form for the dates. The email did mention that they interview only on Mondayâs and Fridays.
Any one interviewed with UH BS/MD program last year?
@chihuahua1â
Itâs definitely worth it to pay the $150. If you donât turn in a supplement at all, then you have absolutely no chance of getting into the program.
I know that last year only 3-5 OOS students ended up attending NEOMED but any idea on how many OOS students were invited for the interview and accepted?
@desie1 Thank you so much for taking the time to write this information about NW interview. It is good to anticipate and be prepared. thanks.
@starwatch I donât know how many OOS were interviewed last year for NEOMED but at an info session they told us they only enrolled 3 OOS students last year, and they enrolled 100 in state (Ohio) students.
@Me4collegeâ, For AMC interview, they gave my son 3 choices. Feb 13, 23 or 27th.
@starwatch For NEOMED programâs stat for oos is 197/21/4. Once again, we could only speculate that the accepted student number is higher or âmuchâ higher than the final enrolled figure of 4. Good luck!
thanks you so much @Dildilâ . And best of luck to your son for the interview.
We are still waiting to hear from them.
@desie1 @Gooddoctor
I respectfully disagree that the Northwestern HPME interview is a âstress test.â The director who conducts the interviews tells you at the beginning of the interview that she has limited time with you, so she might cut you off, but she is in no way trying to pressure you. I think the pressure just comes from nervousness.
I would also disagree that the interviewers are not friendly. The interview will likely be different for everybody because itâs very focused on you, instead of asking a list of standardized questions. As a result, there are a lot of follow up questions, but these questions are just to find out more about you than to throw you off.
@davidxavi As I said, I am just a mom. But I heard from several students last year and the year before that one of og the women interviewers is very curt and makes it a stressful environment to see how students react under difficult conditions. However, if you found that wasntâ the case, thatâs great news!. Iâm just reporting what I was told, and HPME is the only program I have ever heard that about. Canât hurt to be prepared for that, just in case.
@md2021 my son received interview notification from NEOMED. Interview dates are Feb 28 and Mar 1st. We are instate.
Anyone has any feedback on interview format at NEOMED. Please help.
@bsmdcanâ
Congrats on the interview for NEOMED. Did you get an email or phone call? Also are all the notifications sent out already or are they rolling?
@desie1â @davidxaviâ @GoodDoctorâ
My sister went through the HPME interview a while back and she said it wasâŠstressful. From what sheâs told me, it doesnât seem as if the interviewers purposefully try to unnerve students but rather they ask challenging questions that can take you unaware. In the interest of full disclosure, Iâm currently applying to BSMD programs too and received an HPME interview around the same time as @GoodDoctorâ as well.
Anyone here going to the REMS interview?
I heard 1,147 applied this year and theyâre inviting 47 for interviews.
Last year 8 enrolled in the program.
Good luck, everyone.
@bsmdcanâ
Did your NEOMED application portal change at all to reflect interview status? New update perhaps?
@starwatch no the application portal has not changed. My son received snail mail as well as email from the three universities as well as NEOMED. We are not sure if they are rolling or not. We did not call them and inquire.
Good luck.
@bsmdcanâ
Prior to these acceptance letters, did you Know that you had been accepted into the undergraduate colleges?
Just checked with my two friends waiting on NEOMED. They are in state and neither have heard anything yet.
