***Official Thread for 2015 BSMD applicants***

Does anyone happen to know when UT San Antonio will release FAME results?

My son got rejection from Wash U’s University Scholars program :frowning:

@collegePapa‌ thanks. We are running out of runway with this kind of results.

It was an e-mail today.

Rejected by UMKC, RPI, NEOMed, and GWU. Losing hope

@Me4college Don’t loose heart!

I was at the Baylor 2 Baylor mass interview day in January but can’t remember when they said they would announce the next step. Anyone remember?

My son did not get any email from Washu yet.

Do they sent out rejection in batches?

If we got accepted to Univ of Miami Undergrad does it mean anything for Miami HPM?

@OnMyWayToBSMD‌ I talked to the main guy and he told me around 2/20, so possibly this Friday.

@summerlover1 - Did you get accepted to Univ of Miami undergrad? Did you get an email?

@GoodDoctor‌ Yes & No snail mail.

@summerlover1 CONGRATULATIONS on your undergrad acceptance to U of Miami. From what I understand, the HPME decisions are sent around March 20th (at least during previous years).

My D also was not accepted into the USP program at Wash U @ St. Louis.

@GoodDoctor‌ So Undergrad acceptance before hearing about HPME doesn’t mean that we’ve been rejected right?

I remember baylor 2 baylor interviews being around early to mid part of March.

@co88dad‌ @GoodDoctor‌ @Me4college
Washington University Scholars Program is very expensive (560 thousand for 8 years)
Very high requirements/constraints to move to Medical School (MCAT 36 and GPA 3.7+).

It is very difficult to maintain high GPA at Washington University because of high quality of students. :smile:

Hopefully your daughter will be accepted to a BS/MD program with full scholarship in Undergraduate four years. :slight_smile:

@summerlover1 - From what I understand, YES, just because we get an undergrad acceptance mail, it does not mean that we have been rejected from HPME at UMiami.

@pbmelach - I hope so too. My S is interviewing with Northwestern this week. It would be WONDERFUL if he gets into HPME there. Thanks for your reassuring words.

@gooddoctor okay thank you!

@GoodDoctor‌
Interview with a Doctor for 30 minutes. May have another 30 minute interview with a student.
The interview with Dr Green at Northwestern is for 15 minutes. She will bring out some of the negative points Like,
–why ACT 35 not 36
–why is there a B in a subject
–Basically stress interview. Dr Green is very smart and experienced.

Very important to answer in a positive way what the student learned from it. Best of luck with Northwestern. :slight_smile:
