Rejected from Lehigh-Drexel. Good to know Iām in such good company, at least. Here are some of my stats in case anyoneās interested. I think my big weakness was almost no medical volunteering or research; in retrospect I see that my chances were slim for that reason.
GPA: 4.0 unweighted, 5.8 weighted
SATs: 2340
Chem SAT 2: 780
other SAT2s were in the 750-770 range
ethnicity: caucasian woman
ECs: strong, lots of leadership, but almost no medical

Congratulations to everyone who got interviews for Drexel-Drexel. I got the interview for Drexel-Drexel, but didnāt hear anything back from Villanova-Drexel or Leghigh-Drexel, so assuming that they rejected my application.

Anyone done with interviews from Albany ? When will Albany announce their decision? Are they still sending interview invites out? Got a rejection from Siena, but still didnt hear from RPI.
@jt4321 I am waiting on RPI/Albany. They havenāt even reviewed my file yet. So I havenāt got my supplement yet.
@jt4321 Albany will make one decision mid feb my guess is most will be deferred till decision in late march. They did mention during interview they are heavy union now and RPI heavy later. Only 1 RPI kid out of 9 on that day.
did anyoneās RPI application get put āon holdā after submitting the supplement? I got this email about a week after submitting the supplementā¦Anyone know what this means or if I should consider it to be a rejection?
@innercircle Can you clarify if the email you are referring is from RPI or AMC? My understanding, once a supplement is submitted, it is AMC decision to decide to invite you for an interview or not and RPI is not involved. But RPI decides if they would like to forward your app to AMC or not to start with. If the mail is from RPI, you should call RPI and get it clarified on what does it mean āon holdā. GL.
Just checked RPI portal status and it remains the same for the past 3 months. Assume it will be like that until they announce the UG admission status.
@dhs2016 you have very strong credentials. You should be proud. For BS/MD programs, it is required to have shown ādemonstrated interestā in the field of medicine. That is why the medical ECās play a very important role. Based on your stats and strong ECās( even though non-medical) and leadership roles you have a good shot at the ivies. I hope you have applied to at least a few of them. In case you donāt make it to this program you can get into medical school the traditional route if you maintain these credentials in UG. Each program looks for something different. You never know. Good Luck!
Didnāt hear from Drexel/Drexel yet. Had got Villanova/Drexel a few days back. Not sure if Drexel/Drexel is a reject or if they are still processing

As we review applications, we inevitably find that the number of
qualified applications exceeds the number of applicants that we are
able to interview. Screening is done on an ongoing basis as
applications become complete. Therefore, in some cases a final
screening decision is temporarily deferred until March. If over the
course of the combined degree admissions season we find that too few
candidates were initially invited to interview, we will turn to the
āHoldā category and invite selected applicants to interview.
Iām just confused because its not an outright rejection. Does anybody know if people put on hold actually have a chance of getting called to interview, or if this is just AMCās way of passively rejecting people?
@dudefromnowhere, called Drexel yesterday and they said that they are releasing the interview notifications in batches and it will go on till mid or late feb.
@stdmedsch, thank you for the information that Albany is going heavy on Union and RPI will be at a later time.
Any idea how many total number of kids will be given final admission into Albany? any idea about the split between Siena, RPI and Union? Is it a full day kind of interview?
got email from UConn? Interviewing on 11th. interviews are group interviews with 3 stations of 8 candidates each. is anyone interviewing on the 9th? was wondering how many candidates are there for the 9th? how many OOS applicants are they going to accept this year do u think?
@jt4321 On rough numbers 80-90 are called from each program, 45-50 are given offers from each program and their goal is to have 15 kids join from each of them. Last year they had 17 Union and 12 RPI so they want to lower Union and somehow increase RPI for this year ā¦
Process starts at 10:30 and should be all done by 3:30 (though it can extend upto 4:00 if interviewer is behind schedule) These were timings for Mon morn.
Received NJMS interview today. There is still hope for those of you who havenāt heard back yet!
