I heard Rice/Baylor interviews came out Jan 26th for a med school interview at Houston on Feb 20th. When does Rice/Baylor interviews normally come out?
@Solar7Flare Rice/Baylor interviews dont come out till later like March because I think they usually notify the undergrad decision first before inviting for interview but not sure. thatâs what i heard. i know it is definitely not anytime in jan or feb though
Someone must be confusing Baylor/Baylor with Rice Baylor. Rice Baylor has a prerequisite for Rice admission announcement before they release interview notifications.
All Penn State/ Jeff interview notifications are out
Hello
I wonder did you ever apply and how was interview numbers
Sorry aimed at basketball girl
UAB EMSAP calls are going out now and my child didnât get in despite excellent interviews. Not sure how they choose but must be more than the interviews despite what they claim. Looks like my child will be going elsewhere, and is fortunately accepted in other programs, but this was his preference. If we had it to do over again, we wouldnât waste our time on UAB.
My child didnât get either. We had lot of hopes after the interview.
Same here. Iâm especially upset because we invested a lot of time and money preparing for and traveling to the interviews and to not get any feedback whatsoever as to why my child didnât get in makes me feel like they take advantage of people. I also see that those being admitted into EMSAP do not represent the population of the state to which they serve and to which they exist based on the taxes we pay to the state
@FutureMDParent was your son in state or out of state?
@ci1718 I think that FutureMDParent is AL resident. but I wondered blessu?
I didnât get in either. I am out of State. I traveled far. I felt very good about my interviews too.
Iâm sorry you werenât accepted. It isnât a reflection of you. You had to be impressive to be called to interview. What an honor and great experience! Some doors are closed so God can open new ones. @Mocha16
We are in state. There is no reward for being interviewed but not accepted.
I donât think that is a wise way to view it. How many kids can say theyâve done a medical
School interview? What a leg up when he does so again! I know you are disappointed for him, but sadly, not everyone could be chosen.
I wish your son blessings and luck in future endeavors!
The least expensive med school option is usually in state medical school (there are some states where this does not work). Although it looks like a kid came up short after attending an interview, it is never a bad thing considering there are so few guaranteed seats. The same kid will waltz into medical school as a regular applicant 4 years later if he/she made it already to the interviews now.
And having undergone a medical school interview as a high school student will be such an advantage!
I empathize your disappointment with the latest news from EMSAP, but you should maintain positive energy for the sake of your DS. Even though your DS did not get into the program, it should have been a worthwhile and invaluable experience for just having the experience of undergoing the interview process. Good luck with the rest of the BS/MD and undergraduate programs.
@ci1718 Thank you for your kind words. I just wished there are feedbacks from the interviewers so I can learn from it.
