Official thread october sat 2013 test

another question for the music passage - was he objective or derisive? was that question referring to the entirety of the passage or just one line?

@Rkamil9 really? Who al has said that it was harder than usual? Most people, at least on here, acted like it was more of a joke than usual. Personally, I found it very easy but I’m also a “mathlete.”

Quick question. Number 18 in one of the W sects. essentially read “although Julia and I arrived at the ice rink together, she stayed two hours longer after I left” or something MEGA similar to that. “Although” needed to become “even though,” correct?

@log123
Agreed, thanks!

What was the error in the black tennis player pioneer woman in the writing section?

I actually solved it by plugging in numbers for this one just to verify and it is m=r

yea that’s what i got for the correct paragraphs about planets

cookiestuf, did that question say positive integers or something?

i gotta agree with jlee on the math. im more concerned about the curve for CR i think i got like 4 wrong. is that like a 730-750??

Is this the general consensus for no errors?

Incas

River flowing… where eagles…

The children seeing whales

any thing else.

Also, there was a question about an author in the error indentification

what were the no errors?

Also, Neolucid can you walk me through your work on that one? I didn’t get m=r when I plugged in numbers.

Jlee that was an experimental question

There was a question on the music passage about what Glenn Gould means by the electronic music having a beneficial effect on music culture.

what did you guys pick? I put that electronic music would have an expanded role

CR curve will probably be generous. From everything I have gathered, it was harder than normal. Sorta seemed like it so I can see a moderate curve (-3 most likely being an 800).

@Bonabo

Whoops sorry you’re right! I misunderstood what Tidumattud said.

Yeah I don’t think m=r is correct. I plugged in numbers and didn’t get that but I’m afraid I misread the q

@anandnk24 I chose that too. That made the most sense and could be most reasonably extrapolated from the text.

@anadnk24

I was stuck between that choice and something about urbane centers

what was the error in the writing section for the one that is something like this
music is a universal language, it is seen in many cultures and places around the world…
or was it
music is a universal language, existing in many cultures around the world

what did you all say for this

@lin existing
