Official thread october sat 2013 test

wait what’s this google doc people are talking about though?

It was taken down.

“Her voice slid in and curved down through and over the words. She was nearly singing. I wanted to look at the pages. Were they the same that I had read? Or were there notes, music, lined on the pages, as in a hymn book? Her sounds began cascading gently. I knew from listening to a thousand preachers that she was nearing the end of her reading, and I hadn’t really heard, heard to understand, a single word.”

idk the fact that mere words could sound like musical notes sounds kinda dramatic to me lol

and she has to find something “romantic” to find it up to the standards of its “romantic” kin, correct?

Can someone tell me for which test was the parallelogram question??

There was a math problem with a triangle and two parallel lines. One measurement was 50 degrees and then there was x and y. It asked what the measure of y was in x. I think I said y = 130 - x. It was just a guess.

@Evets
It was from the American Test

Hi guys
um for the perimeter grid in
can someone explain how it was 12
cause i got 6

if its bounded by x=1, y= 2, the x axis and the y axis
that makes for a rectangle with a perimeter of 6

^ministrike I also got 6 for that perimeter. I think they may be talking about some other perimeter problem, that maybe involves a triangle

People put 12 for 3-4-5 triangle grid in the one you’re talking about that wasn’t a grid in that was a multiple choice question and 6 was the right answer

Did anybody put down “in complete agreement” for the question about the authors and what they would say about the fact that bees are important to pollution. I know that generally you are supposed to avoid extreme answers but in this case the authors wrote the articles talking about the demise of earth without bees so thEy had to have agreed with the statement.

Also can somebody recapitulate the math question where the answer was 20pi. I understand that that is the answer but I would like to know how it was done.

i remember one of the triangle questions was 10 because you had a 6 8 10 triangle. You had to find the side lengths of the triangle by figuring out the side lengths of a square. not a hard question but i thought people may have wanted to find out.

nah mine was a gridin and it was a rectangle the guy above @satsarecool
got the same one

Raider it was complete agreement

@ministrike i think im now remembering that it was a multiple choice. not sure though. all i remember is changing my answer from 2 to 6 bc i reread and found that it was asking for perimeter

i must concur

@dirtysocks yeah i remember that question. It was like a trapezoid next to a square right?

I believe so satsarecool

okay maybe i messed up
first time taking the real one lol
it was a little intimidating even with 40+ practice exams under my belt

Can someone PM me a link to the google doc?

Also for the question about Thomas Payton and bees did you put that they both would agree that bees are killed by a variety of reasons or something?

Does anyone remember the grid-in about the perimeter ?
was it a 345 triangle and then you add the sides together?
