There is no document…

What was the math problem that had answers like 10√3 and 20√3? I answered 20√3 was that correct?

Then what were people talking about pming a google doc. I think there is

They took it down

wowww… do you happen to have a copy of that document? It would mean the world to me!!

No but if you have any questions just post them up here.

The document is still up: Go to page 190 on this thread and click on Kpopzz profile. There, you will find a link to the doc.

On the google docs it said the answer to the what the author of the 1st passage would say to the author of the 2nd passage for the bee passages is “his evidence was unsupported because of personal opinion.”

That’s not right, right? I thought the answer had to do something with the declining bee population.

The document says his evidence is unsupported because of personal opinion.

everyone keep posting in the google doc, it’s almost complete

I know it says that, but is that right?

@houstonrep I think the answer is unsupported because evidence says otherwise (not personal opinion)

I agree with houstonrep! I said it was questionable because of bee declining population

I need to clarify something. For the x=1 and y=2 math question, what was the question asking for? Area or perimeter?

Perimeter and answer was 6

Yeah I’m pretty sure the answer to the bee passage one about author 1 responding to author 2 was about declining bee population.

Was there even an answer choice about “evidence says otherwise”?

Why are you guys saying that proceed was a diction error. It made complete sense grammatically in the context of the sentence. and proceeded by is grammatically correct

and it’s neither of them. why would it be neither of which?

the question in beekeeping about what the author’s intent was when (s)he used the word “however” in lines 49 and 55: was the author undermining a claim or explaining a misconception? I think the first example was like: “the bees are responsible for pollinating plants, and without them we’d all die” and the response was “the main food crops are rice and wheat, which don’t require pollination.” I think it sounds more like a misconception.

thoughts?

aqueous…float

for the bee passage, i picked unsupported. i think there were only two possible choices:

unsupported because it ignores the evidence (something like that)
accurate, in that it referenced empirical evidence

passage 2 did mention some empirical evidence, so the “in that” part really made me want to pick accurate. however, when we compare the purpose of passage 1, it would be going against his opinion to pick accurate.

I picked unsupported because passage 2 only uses one survey for the basis of its argument, while passage 1 suggested there was a large body of data that showed large bee pop declines.
