Official thread october sat 2013 test

first of all, the choices were indignant and belligerent. Indignant is when you act strongly about something because you think it is wrong or unjust. Belligerent is more acting “war-like”. Therefore, the answer was indignant (Sousa acts out strongly against technology in music because he thinks it is wrong and will destroy music). Somehow, you got incredibly lucky and chose the right answer even though your reasoning was incredibly wrong… lol

I totally forgot the word there&Thank you!! Don’t really care about my reasoning now … lol

Btw was it Punctilious or unshakable??? Help help help

For the America passage, there was a question asking what the author was talking about in the first sentence (“The West is a region of extraordinary variety, and of an iron immutability beneath its surface of change”)? I think I put down “unfulfilled dreams”, but I was REALLY unsure. Thoughts?

It’s paradix

It’s paradox

Without a doubt. ^

New software is able to provide forecasts for small neighborhoods, giving a ______ view of weather.

what was the answer or the answer choices to this?

I don’t remember the choices but it seems like it should be “broader view” or “more predictable”

Btw…no one has answered…what was #13 to Section 10 about latter and former form…wasn’t it “when compared with”…No other choice (almost picked A) made sense…

Did anyone get the difference being the author addresses the reader in that agricultural passage?

Anyone remember what #13 Section 10 Writing was about…I can’t remember this former or latter thing now…confused by the posts on CC

I don’t remember what the heck interference is…which question is interference what is former latter and “when compared with”

Oh I heard writing the SAT essay in cursive is bad! College Board will not grade the essay if they can’t read it.

“Interference” was the answer to one of the questions in section 10.

New software is able to provide forecasts for small neighborhoods, giving a _____ view of weather.
Was the answer granular? I don’t think I put that… I want to know the other choices

Took the test in Asia… so I don’t recognize any of the questions you guys are discussing. sigh.

hey guys , i had 4 maths sections so im sure that one of them is the experimental one , i did great on the first three section but the last one with the 20 questions was really hard and i skipped a lot of questions so i just wanted to know if someone can tell me if the hard section was really the experimental one so i can relax a bit , plus my sister told me that from her experience with the sat the experimental section is always the hardest. thank u

What did you guys get for “that was totally new to me and i would need time to think about it” in Mrs. FLower passage?

^contemplative

I believe that the sec with 20 ques. wasn’t the experimental one…I had that same sec and a critical experimental and I did exactly like u…when i went out the majority said that they did so too and that it wasn’t easy…I really messed up and I hope our scores wont be that much horrible
