When are Oct scores available??

10.25 probably

Please pm me the google doc! Thank you!

Scores are released October 24th at 5:00 AM EST. The link to the doc is on my profile.

Keep in mind that there are a couple of wrong answers on the gdoc

Were there any answers other than contemplative?

I thought there was an answer that said that she was thoughtful

Contemplative was the only one that implied thoughtfulness, I believe.

For the music passage question about the debate on recorded music:
I just want to clear the “polarized…fruitful” vs. “impassioned…inconclusive” issue since that was one of the most disputed questions in CR.

The debate was clearly polarized, hence why it was even a debate, and now this is why it was fruitful (since it seems many people may have skipped over the second, and most important part, of this sentence in the passage):

“They have reached no unshakable conclusions, but they give us most of the conceptual we need in order to listen with the alertness - and the ambivalence - that this magical medium demands.”

The main point of this sentence was not to express that the debate was inconclusive. The point of the sentence was that despite, it has been fruitful in the end.

Although “impassioned…inconclusive” is a tempting choice, “polarized…fruitful” is more apt.

Can someone send me the Google Doc too.

@houstonrep It might be polarized and maybe even fruitful but how is it “surprisingly” fruitful? There’s nothing in the text to support that “surprisingly” part.

Is there a Google Doc for the International test? If so, could someone send me a link?

Houston rep: read the part you posted. There is nothing that suggests fruitful.

What do you guys think I’ll get on my essay? I really need an 11-12. I used up every single line, I had 5 paragraphs, 3 solid examples (2 from literary works 1 contemporary), and I feel like I used strong-ish academic diction.

what’s the google doc?? is it like a copy of the october test or something?

dn4144 what kind of examples and points did u mention? I was kinda blank :(

Please pm me the google doc too! Thank you!
