Official thread october sat 2013 test

someone please send me the document/tinychat

Yes! Importunate, I think that’s it, because it sounded like she wouldn’t hop off her coworkers/classmates nuts or w/e

was I the only one who thought the last passage ( marguerite and mrs flowers) was just a big sarcastic piece

satstudent11

I put complaisant… was the question about this woman who wanted to compromise with others?

yes, just make d=8 and c=2 (that’s proportional by with a k=1 in y=kx)

importunate: making repeated or annoying requests or demands i think its punctilious or unshakeable.

@jacksaw - this isn’t AP Lang. I thought that passage was quite straightforward and even rather interesting, aha.

FFFFF. ABCD I PUT I AND II.

lordy lord…

What do you guys think a -2 on math would be on this test?

you know the short dual passage about pesticides. what would both of the authors agree on?

idk i thought the line where Mrs. Flowers says “language is what separates us from lower animal” to which Margarita thinks " oh i totally did not know that, i had to think about it" kinda made it seem sarcastic. I also kinda felt that throughout the passage.

that the environment should be treated respectfully or something @hs2014

also was indiscretions one of the fill ins for CR?

I’ve looked through the posts and didn’t see anything about that but if you know please help~

if you got a passage about Zen, it was the experimental right? I think I literally bombed that one

I actually put in only 1 and 2 for the ABCD questions. It seems that the general consensus is all three, so at this point i just wanna understand my mistake

I know that AB=5, BC=3, and CD=7
what was part three of that question though? does anyone remember it exactly
it’d help a lot of people out if you could remember the order of the third part, Thanks

Ehhh, either way, the questions were relatively easy to answer, which is what matters most.

What problems did the experimental math (section 3 I presume) have? I totally forgot.

the zen one was experimental

What was the answer to the problem in the CR passage written by the Anglo-American guy which said, “the author views the people moving west with ______”

I was debating between mild disapproval and cautious endorsement.

collegetalk11

I hated that question! I skipped it. I honestly thought that passage was the hardest. I’m no CR genius.

Extraordinary ??

And calamity??
