In regards to our essays, they give us the benefit of the doubt that we only have 25 minutes and that it really is impromptu. That factors into the grading; they don’t expect a refined, publish-worthy essay. Standards are high but comparative to (AP) English, they pale.

Oreo I found the May essay tough. Very abstruse, not as “normal.” How’d you do so well? I bombed it yet I nuked the AP English exam…solid 5, easily.

also what was the answer to the question in the mrs. flowers passage where the girl first enters the house and looks around the kitchen??

I said that she was relishing the moment or something like that

Rhythmmeleon

Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s right

Anyone else on the mild disapproval/cautious endorsement question?

Yeah novelty of moment

RhythmMeleon

I put that it was novelty moment for her? Right?

You see, I think the curve will be somewhat generous. Here’s why: a ton of juniors took today’s exam to prep for the upcoming PSAT. That is absolutely pointless. They claim it’s to have a little more practice but it does them no good! Why? They obviously don’t have their scores back in time to know what they actually need to review and study for the PSAT. Furthermore, the juniors who took today’s test, so I’ve noticed, aren’t the smartest ones which entails a nice curve, hopefully. I witnessed my fellow peers do that last year (essentially cram to better their NMSQT prospects). You know how many of them are now SFs? Maybe 1. Definitely not 2. The ones of us who did not take the Oct. SAT and pretty much knew we’d make it did. There are 45 of us. Leggo!

Hey what about that one sentence completion with the hyenas?
pestilence?

I put indignant. Could be wrong…

2 questions. PLEASE ANSWER!!!
1.) Does anyone have any thoughts on the short reading passage about the man who could not remember his name?
2.) On the one that the answer was 64/9, was it okay to put 7.11 (the decimal version)??

Hey guys! So I don’t usually post here but I just took the October SAT and I feel like my essay was not my absolute best. It asked whether we placed too little value on privacy. Anyway, it took me like 5 minutes to think of one example. Even though I only wrote about one example, I feel that it was quite thorough and I had a conclusion. Do you think the readers will deduct points from me though for having only one example? Ugh I am so worried. Thanks!

does anyone remember his/her answers for the mrs flowers passage

What did you guys get for the double passage asking how the media would respond to something said in passage 1?
