Official transcript required for admission?

so it says
Applicants must submit the Common Application First-Year Application and also the Brown Supplement for First-Year Applicants according to the deadlines listed below. Students must also provide supporting credentials to complement the forms of the application. These credentials include the results of standardized tests and official transcripts from all prior high school, college and distance-learning work.

so it asks for official transcripts from all PRIOR highschool.
so if we only attended one high school throughout the 4 years, then is this not needed?

also, just a quick question about official transcripts.
when college ask for official transcripts, are they asking just for the stuff from the commonapp? or are they asking for official transcripts (hardcopy) from highschools?

please reply. having a major freak out

If you’ve only attended one high school, then you only have one transcript to send.

Sending out the official transcript is the job of your school guidance department. You tell them the schools you are applying to, give them any necessary paperwork, and they should take care of the rest (or tell you what to do). The official transcript must come from the school.
