Wrong, I called they say whatever is on the portal is final.

Wtf butt muncher.
They said it’s final decision

@titleist07 I got accepted to UCLA for Communication Studies and hope to minor in Entrepreneurship/Econ because I hope to pursue a career in Marketing/Business Strategy! And same. A friend of mine told me a couple weeks ago that UCI doesn’t accept Business Calc and I got really sad because UCI is one of the few UCs that have Business Admin. Someone told me UCLA and UCR don’t take Business Calc either for some reason.

I think its ridiculous, considering Haas accepts Business Calculus. UCI’s description of their Business Admin major even explains their major as “broad, drawing on the social sciences more generally to study organizations, interpersonal communication skills, individual and group behavior, …” yet they don’t accept the calculus course that actually applies calculus to business situations and to the social sciences.

I’m sorry that happened to you. I’m not sure about UCSC or UCD’s requirement. I think UCSD accepts Business calc, because my classmates in my business calc class applied and are happy they got in for UCSD’s business econ/international business program!

Rejected. This sucks I was really hoping to get in. Still waiting to hear from UCB, but I have been rejected by UCD UCSC, SJSU, and Cal poly already so I’m expecting another rejection. I got into UCSD, but it was for my alternate major that I wasn’t interested in and it’s extremely difficult to change to CS there(my main major). My only choice left is SFSU

CS major rejected oh well. 3.22 when applied, dropped to 3.18 after TAU, but bumped up to 3.3 after Winter Quarter. Oh well, another year it is

Should I apply as math major next year? I already applied in CS department twice and got rejected for past 2 years.

The requirements for math department is just CALC 1 and 2

Computer Science
GPA 3.25
Rejected from Uci

@sodapop111
If you really want CS, do TAG. CS is so hard to get I through regular admissions. I saw some 3.8’s getting waitlisted with all prerequisites complete.

No CS/SE/Informatics majors below 3.5 accepted at all?

rejected

Rejected, Computer Engineering. Strange since I had a TAG with UCI in good standing according to my academic counselor.

@area21 Yeah UCI was my top choice so it was a bummer to find out about the calc after i’d already applied. I got into UCD however so I’m going to SIR there in light of today’s news!

can i tag next year or is it only one time thing

CS major REJECTED. I had a bunch of CS courses completed but I guess GPA is the most important thing in college.
GPA: 3.23

Well, looks like I’m going to UCSC now for CS! its my back up and its really close to home! Good school.

This is ridiculous. I have 3.82 GPA and finished al classes still got rejected. Oh well, I guess UCSD or UCSB then

@transfersc join the club. Great feeling huh? What are your options left?

@CompEngrUCI i thought if you were approved for the TAG and did everything stated then you would get accepted? I wonder what happened

@CompEngrUCI @jessicalee721

So a TAG applicant and an applicant with a 3.82 got rejected?

aha
ahahaha
AHAHAHAHA
