@itzeko on the top of the electronic vertification signature page, its says you need a copy of w2 so you can make copies.
anybody have info regarding major specific orientation? Im an SPPS major, we only had one option (July 5th) and Ill be out of state. I clicked the ‘unable to attend’ option on there, but just wondering how it works, when will I get an alternate date, etc… anybody know?
I really hope its not really late in the summer, because I want to start planning my quarter and registering for classes.
HOLY S***
My appeal was accepted for UC IRVINE!!
I applied as a biological sciences major, got denied, appealed for chemistry.
I heard that appeals were SUPER hard to accomplish, but it’s always possible if you have the right evidence to show them! Crazy excited right now!
Time to SIR!
@zotfembot congrats! UCI is probably the only school that will do whatever it is in their power to let you attend. A couple of my friends got alternate major offers, even though they never listed second majors on their apps, which means someone actually took time to analyze their situation and find the next best match. Zot zot!
I’m planning to transfer in the coming fall. Don’t know if anyone can chance me?
Major: Civil engineering
current gpa: 3.54
Prereqs: Finished all phys and most of the math. Working on CS and last math class
EC: honor society ( permanent member )
-rose parade internship
- got awards related to academic
@KnightKing it’s hard to say with that major, but you can look up what the gpa averages were for your major, I’d say you sound like a good candidate though.
anyone receive a agreement to sign lease? my lease is so expensive!! Oh my god…
@17ucccccc Oh god I just revived mine too and the only offer I have is a 2/bed 2/private bath which is $1,070 a month. Ughh that’s way too much. Dang I did mange to find another apartment, which unfortunately it is off campus but for $925 and is a 9 month lease rather than VDCN being a 12 month lease.
@DarthRadec09
I got that same offer from VDCN. Very expensive but at least it comes with a parking permit which usually costs $300/quarter.
guys, where can I send my high school transcript to ?
is this address ?
University of California, Irvine
Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools
260 Aldrich Hall
Irvine, CA 92697-1075
Any fellow english/humanities majors here?
@DarthRadec09 @calbee I know right, Idk if financial aid is gonna be enough… do they even offer u your second house choice out the top five??
@17ucccccc Nope that’s the only one they offered me and I don’t even think I put down this one as an option. Sigh I don’t even know what to do right now. I’ve been looking for off campus apartments but like I said I can’t find anything cheaper than 925.
do i need to notify finan ad if im switching to commute instead of living on campus?
@UChopeful95 I’m an English major
In June I got an email that said my first choice was full. So they asked my if I wanted to opt in for possible space for the campus village year-round June 2017-June 2018…i didn’t do that because, i didn’t have the money in time nor did I wanna be there for the summer. And I haven’t gotten any other updates.
Has anyone else gotten an update email?
Sorry if this is not the right place to ask this, but I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out.
What’s the difference between IGETC and the GE/Breadth Articulation Agreement found on Assist.org?
(the latter is found here: http://web2.assist.org/web-assist/report.do?agreement=aa&reportPath=REPORT_2&reportScript=Rep2.pl&event=21&dir=1&sia=DIABLO&ria=UCI&ia=DIABLO&oia=UCI&aay=16-17&ay=16-17&dora=GE)
I’m worried, as I’ve taken classes that are on IGETC, but not on the GE/Breadth Agreement. Does this mean I’ve wasted my time, and will still have to take similar classes at UCI after I transfer?
Or, is the GE/Breadth Agreement for students not following the IGETC, and they accept the IGETC as a replacement for the GE/Breadth Agreement? I’m fairly certain this is how it is, but I’ve been fed a lot of misinformation on this topic, so I want to really make sure.
Thank you all so much for the advice. I have questions regarding how I should finish my major prep courses by fall because that’s recommended. However, I am just not certain what classes these are. People mention prerequisites, major prep, courses on assist, and I just can’t figure it out. Right now, I have all the classes that were in the UCLA/CC articulation agreement for my major enrolled for summer and fall. Is this all the major prep people refer to? What else is included? Also, is it recommended to finish my IGETC requirements by fall? Is IGETC a part of major prep? Thank you so much for your insight.
I suggest that you go to the UCLA website and look for the current catalog. Find your major and see what the requirements are. Once you do you can go back to assist.org and see which community college(s) course(s)articulate. you can then decide which schools/courses you can take either in person or online over the summer to complete those courses
