21 hours meow

Do you guys think that Berkeley will accept a C in pre-regs like UCLA does?

@beyond3000

its ok. good luck for tomorrow.

any chem e majors here?

@LfcErnesTT
hmm, dunno. did you dig around on the UCB department (major) website to try and find out? sounds like a departmental question. n’est pas? my major allows for “Pass” on the language requirements. but that is different. assist.org has direct contact info for your department coordinator by the way. email and phone numbers. they will tell you pronto. good luck.

Should I have my hope on this with 3.73 GPA as Electrical Engineering ?

@alpha im a chem major :)

@northbeach
Thanks. Actually I mean the spring grade while UCLA allows us to have an accidental C [could be pre-regs] or so on their admission contract. I have checked on their website and assist but both do not give specific answers. I think I will wait till tomorrow to see. No matter what I will work my sock off in order to obtain the best grade! Thanks.

@ chemnerd727

did u apply to the chem major or chem engg?

@alpha
Chem eng!

^ Chem Bio, same school :)

I dont think ill SIR to UCB anyways

@chemnerd727 & @spiritz

good luck for tom!

waitin with bated breath…oh the pain of waitin!

What r ur guyses stats?

@ chemnerd

y not? I actually got into UCD (TAG) but if I get into UCB, am going! (applied only to UCD & UCB)

stats? what exactly does that entail, UC transferable GPA?
→ around 3.8 something (not sure as haven’t calculated for last fall’s grades but know its higher than that as I already had 3.8 before I submitted my app and then I got A’s in fall '11) + finished all pre-reqs + 1 yr ochem (completing it this spring actually)

whats urs?

OMG guys! We’re so close!

Does anyone keep logging into myberkeleyapp, just in case?

I wonder what it will look like when it changes. Does it show a completely new interface? Or say “CONGRATULATIONS!” really huge? Do they send out an email? Will the website crash?

Gosh, what exciting times.

If I’m not accepted into Cal, I’m really happy about Davis. So, acceptance for me will just be an great surprise and not a life changing letdown.

@alpha
I got into UCSD into an impacted major so i feel as if that might be my best option, also got into UCLA so I’m just happy colleges like me enough.
My stats are not that great, I have a 3.7 UC GPA with calc 2 and 3 missing as well as all physics XD but a bomb personal statement!

@ fluxrad

still says ‘In Review’!

Gee, I know the feeling. Time has stopped and UCB is all I wanna hear and talk about & hear frm
with a +. Indeed exciting & anxious times!

As for going to UCD if not UCB, not life changing for sure, js slightly disappointing.

@ chemnerd

I heard UCB puts a lotta emphasis on PS’s, not sure mine was that outstanding :(

A little disappointing perhaps, but not as disappointing as it could be. I’m an English major anyway, so each program will most likely be what I make it out to be when it comes to writing and literature. Plus, the quieter setting of UC Davis might be the perfect place where I can finish a novel or something! I love my friends and family but being away from so many obligations might give me a lot of free and needed time to focus. Sometimes I feel a little sad about Berkeley when Davis might fit better creatively.

@alpha
I’m sure you’ll get in
we chemists gotta be positive :)
