Official UCB Countdown

@ fluxrad

true, UCD is indeed quiter and may feed better into ur creative side :). Either way, you have the glass half full. both have their +'s.

@ chemnerd

I really hope so, and I’m tryin to hope for the best, not sure I can prep for the worst. I actually wud lv to get into UCB as they r the only ones with the joint majors program of chem/nuc engg, which is my 1st choice.

T-minus 20 hours ish. I already have my rejection template filled out and ready to go!

I can’t wait to cry either way the coin lands. Bittersweet life.

you dudes are cool. i like all the personalities on this website. i have to say that the kids on the santa cruz acceptance thread are really positive and happy. harvard had a bunch of whiners (maybe it was a bad day when i checked?). didn’t even look for a stanford thread. ucla thread was cool.

definitely gonna make a movie about this acceptance biz. it is so wacky. if not for this site it wouldn’t be much fun. thanks dudes, good luck.

is economics major to get in Berkeley the most competitive major
??

^ maybe, since it’s capped. Once admitted to L&S, you will still need to take Stat 21 and ECON 100A/B/101A/B to declare the major.

If we get admitted, will Oski jump out of nowhere from the portal and say “Congratulations! Go Bears!”?

I hope we all get admitted and meet in the future.

Huh, I always thought Haas BA was much lower than 31% for people who had pre-reqs done.

[Class Profile, Undergraduate Program, Berkeley-Haas](<a href=“Class Profile - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas”>Class Profile - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas)

@ SBlee483

that’ll b cool

are there fb pages made for other UC transfer acceptancees?

@alphaalchemist 4.0, all pre-reqs finished by this spring. Only recommended class left is math54.

yeah, i thought HAAS was insanely difficult to get into. overall acceptances for the school are around what? 22 percent? UCLA was harder last year at around 21 percent, maybe? not sure about these numbers, but it was hard. transfers from CCC were higher percentages of course, but still tough. the hours are rolling by, we are in the teens now.

@ spiritz

cool, def on the better side of GPA score! good job

if u get in (n I hope we all do), u havta take math 54 at UCB before u take upper divs?

Good luck to all of you. Less than 24 hours to know one of the most important news of our lives. I hope we all get into UCB.

thanks jerrytdk, you too, good luck dude.

@alphaalchemist that’ll depend on their condition if admitted hopefully

I think we were thinking of MBA Northbeach, it’s ~6%.

I’m so envious of the people who are done with the admissions process tomorrow. I thought I was going to be, but along comes UCI dragging their feet. I’ve already been admitted to my #1 school however having pending statuses at two schools really bugs me. I guess all my admissions process tolerance has faded.

@ spiritz

did u complete ochem already? if u did, did u take ACS tests besides '94 or '98? Coz I read UCB doesn’t accept those and I hope my CC is aware of that…I am finishing Ochem 2 this sem

@ jerrytkd

thnx n wish everyone good luck too! hope some of us catch enuf slp tonight to b awake until 4 pm tom to chk the status!

I am anxious, I am nervous, I am goin hysterical  all while studyin for an exam tom morn!

jdom24
yes, that’s it. thanks for clearing that up. my brain is made out of marshmallows today. may as well prop me up in some corner until 5PM tomorrow.

@alphaalchemist I’m also completing second ochem this semester. So I’m planning to take it once this semester is over. I guess cal doesn’t accept ochem from all cc’s so we gotta take the ACS anyway.
