No idea, to be honest. All I’ve heard is “by April 1st,” which is vague as hell.

Yeah, I have no idea either… I thought it was March 28th, which is Ivy day, but who knows?

Anyway, I just checked on my finaid documents, and they haven’t received my FAFSA. Oddly, they did receive my Profile, which was sent out a week later… anyone else having an issue with this?

My FAFSA took a really, really long time to process, so I wouldn’t worry too much.

I submitted my FAFSA a month ago and it still showed as missing, so I call the FINAID office. They said there was a problem with some FAFSAs that were processed around February 1, so they recommended re-submitting it. You go online and do a “correction” and delete your old schools and add back UChicago, then submit it again.

Ivylogue is right. I had the same problem, so I asked. They said to resubmit it, so I did and now it shows as processed.

one of my friends who got in last year heard back on march 23. i’m assuming decisions will come out a little earlier than march 28th (the ivy release date) since i heard uchicago and stanford like to release theirs before the ivies

@Ivylogue and thesmiter, that’s what happened to mine as well! It’s all taken care of now, thank you.

I got deferred, so technically I’m in the RD pool too

Does Chicago do likely letters? If so, when would those come?

no, I think that’s just an Ivy thing

@Desafinado You got into Princeton!! Congrats!:)

But why are you still waiting for UChicago’s decision? I wish I were you!:D

Any other UK or Irish applicants?!

I’m thinking March 22; last year was march 23 so I’d assume they’re doing it around the same time.

On their admissions page it says decisions will be released Friday 3/15, though they spelled decision wrong.

^ which page are u referring to? Any URL?

10 more days!

Re post #129, yes, they do likely letters. Some came out several weeks ago. Don’t recall the exact date, but one of D2’s friends who lives far away from us got one. He had applied early to Yale & been deferred, then applied RD to Chicago. He received a letter of acceptance, and is planning to attend accepted students days the same time as D2 (who was accepted EA). So you are probably past the point where you could expect one, but that certainly does not mean you won’t get in RD!

@peter1412, yep I’m applying from the UK!

LOL, the next announcement on the Admissions page:

Office Closing

The office of admissions will be closed at noon on March 15 for a team retreat.
