Official UCI Fall 2016 Transfer Thread

Mine also says the same thing @gbanner

I have it as well, but most likely not to get in with a bloody 2.9 GPA
I’m mainly banking on my consistent involvement with the UCI community and relevent work experience to become my saving grace.

@gbanner and others curious about the change on the financial page, please be aware that the updates and changes it is talking about is most likely due to your FASFA applications being recieved and complete. It does not have to do with your actual admission decision.

mine says the same thing as well.

Mine as well. Im taking it as a positive. With this long wait I need anything to lean on during my time of anxiety lol

hey!! my financial aid page also says that =[]

Major: Psych. and Social Behavior
GPA: 3.15
IGETC: Will be completed by end of Spring
Prereqs: Will be completed by end of Spring
TAG: Nope

I’ve been accepted at: CSUF, CSULA, CSU Poly Pomona, and UCR
I’ve applied to the ones listed above and also UCI, UC Davis, UC Merced, and Cal State San Marcos

hopefully we all get in!!!

Yes fellow PSBer, I wish you luck. When you find out sometime hopefully before the end of April please report it to the group. I also got the financial aid notification change, same as you guys. April 1st is coming, but with last year no regulars heard anything until the 24th of April.

Same here…the wait is killing me…seems however Mid April is when they start really letting us know…UGH…
Computer Game science here…

Is it possible that decisions will start rolling out tomorrow? Or is that unlikely?

@goldencub The rational part of me thinks it’s unlikely, but the internal optimist in me says they could.

That would be very nice if they did, seeing as I’ll be visiting tomorrow! The thing that gives me hope is they said April 1-30…but that could just be for flexibility. Still, it’s much better than “mid/late April”!

@grinchmeup Where did that come from?

@boxandwhiskers Your userpic makes me think you should change your name to anustart, lmao.

Hi everyone,

I just got my midterm grade for physics 2 and it looks like I will get a C only if I score perfect on everything from now on. I’m thinking of dropping the class. Do you think that UCI will see my withdrawal and reject me? I applied with TAG btw. I would really appreciate any feedback.

Monday @ 3 PM. Calling it now.

@boxandwhiskers Apparently, if you put it all together, the sensor doesn’t catch it, lmao.

@goldencub For decisions to start rolling out? I don’t know, man. It seems like decisions started coming in hot and heavy around the middle of the month last year, and went according to GPA. Some might show up on Monday, but a large chunk of them are probably going to be delayed until at least the 15th. It’ll be like UCR all over again.

@100789

I also feel like last year it went according to GPA but from all the other acceptance threads from this year it’s looking like decisions are being released by major. And social science majors seem to be coming out last. Boo.

i don’t know if this really helps but ill post anyway!
-history major
-GPA 4.0
-Admitted so far: UCSD UCSB UCR (3/9)
-Applied?: 9/9
conclusion? I think(hope) UCI is releasing social science’s acceptance later! or maybe the few of us here could be the exception and are probably going to end by rejected (well here’s to hoping anyway)
-also i think there a quite a few history majors that have yet to hear from SC!
p.s. if there are typos, its late and i haven’t slept as stocking web page, with stupid pending review, has burned my will to sleep.

@yy - I’m an art history major, do you know if any AHIS majors have been hearing back? I haven’t heard of any! I have a 4.0 GPA so I’m hoping I’m still a candidate for Regents even though a lot of Regents people have heard from SD and Irvine

Well we all have to have our transcripts in by like July so they will find out. If you can’t get a W then looks like you will be learning physics hardcore little sleep style. You CAN do it but it’s gonna be a challenge, worst case scenario just report your stuff and carry on, maybe it won’t be as big an issue as you think.
