Ok well the thread is titled that way because all the other threads dedicated to transfer admission updates are titled that way, so I can assure you that I never intended the thread to be misused for outside issues. I started this thread, I notice what is going on too, I also dislike it and think it is inconsiderate especially since everyone is under a lot of pressure. In my opinion discussion surrounding the broader topic of admission to UCI is fine, but I do agree that a UCI 2016 Fall Transfer Decisions and Discussion thread should be created where those who got in can settle issues more specific to a life after receiving notification. If a thread has not been started yet I will make one for those who have been accepted, and post it on the UCI thread.

@grimmghost I’m also interested in where people transferred from. I never see that in the acceptance/rejection summaries. I know some (if not all) of these schools give preference to “local” applicants, so it may have some significance to those awaiting a decision. Just food for thought…

So back to topic and not giving them the power they so desire SOOOO is UCI maybe waiting to see how many they have already accepted and how many will accept opening up more spaces for the general population? that way they can admit more and waitlist more instead of all rejections or just a few more admits?
UCs are so fickle…they will pass up someone with a 4.0 and admit someone in that same major that has a 2.5…so unless honors or TAG to push you in the front of the line everyone else is thrown in the general population.
So has anyone heard back from the other was it UC Davis was it? was that the school that were letting people know today?
One thing is for sure…if they don’t send out a batch today than next week will be for sure…unless well they extend that…but I doubt it because so many need to make a decision on other schools.
My son has already looked to what he will do over the next year if he does not get in this time around…his IGETC is done but he has already sent in a petition to fix a couple Cs that he has and a D he is going to fix…all the rest of his grades are all A.s and Bs…but wow those 3 grades really do a hurting on his GPA…

when I was younger I quit HS at age 15…I went and got my GED a couple years later and why I camped out with no place to live with a bunch of other hippies…yup Im that old…lol…I went to CC…I had bumps in the road…many of them but continued to make the best of it and passed and got into Nursing school…I got school loans enough to get a small Apt and continued to move forward…I have taught my boys the same thing…Im the oldest person in this thread…57 years old…yet I still feel your pain because I was there at one time and my son is there today right along side you…UCI is not the end all be all…not for people like you…
…Decisions usually come out around 2:30 for UCI, right?
I doubt it’s going to be today… my heart skips a beat everytime I log onto UCI portal…

@shch7898 If they don’t come out today, I’m going to fall apart. Next Friday is the big UCB decision and I don’t want to deal with two on one day. 
They just to need to let us know already, it’s taking forever

Last year ucla uci ucb ucsd and ucd released all at the same time
@ortizmary24 UCLA actually released before UCI…last year UCI started releasing April24
@ortizmary24 that may cause me to have a stroke… but at least I could get a good night’s sleep for once in 3 months.
From previous threads, I’ve noticed that out of all the UC’s (maybe with the exception of Cal), UCI took the longest to get back to all the applicants
