Regardless of the situation they’re dealing with, it’s wrong of them to continue putting off the date if they do indeed wait until the 2nd and it’s undeniably frustrating. They should stick to their original announcement. Just know that this is their problem, not yours, and wherever you end up is where you’re meant to be!
@Eterion I’m all for optimism. But if this turns out to be the trend of last years where the last days are just rejections and waitlists… can’t say I wouldn’t be a tad mad.
Extending that UC application deadline is coming back to bite them in the ass. Lol. This may turn out to be a historic year in the College Confidential archives.

@uctransfer16 - I know what you mean. I tried every possible way to try to get either of the two admissions reps I spoke to, to divulge more information as to whether the rest of us are just “waiting” for a waitlist or rejection and whether all admission offers have gone out already and neither of them were able to confirm that theory.
Have any of you submitted your SIR to any other UC campus as a backup yet?
@Eterion thanks…they mentioned that they already had rejections…but did they say if that was from Freshman or Transfers? UCI extended their registration out this year to get more people in…so since they did that they took in around 5000 more applicants than last year…UGH! The UCs got in trouble for taking in more out of state than they should have and here everyone from Cali sits waiting…some even TAGGED…what good is a TAG if they don’t keep their word? My son did not tag but i know some on here waiting have.
There are only 2 UCs that offer his major and CSU…so his choices are slim to begin with…well unless you have an almost 4.0 GPA 
He has a game plan set up for next year if he does not get in this year…his IGETC is all done but has some other classes that he can do to up his chances…along with work options in his field…he is a Computer Game science Major…he is 22…
I have a friend who is a transfer student with mechanical engineering major(not sure but it’s engineering). He got into ucsd but he got rejected from uci(he checked this tuesday)…so yeah rejections are already out
No decision yet but if rejections have come out then maybe there’s hope. I’m prepared for waitlist/rejection because I’m a UC-UC applicant and I have a low GPA, but I would rather find out that sooner than be kept waiting.

Hey you guys, though I already received my admittance from UCI last Friday, I can’t help but be nervous/anxious/excited for you all. Waiting for admissions is like waiting for that Christmas present that you hope to get.
I really hope you guys find out today or by the end of this weekend because I know what it was like to have to put your future on hold pretty much. But you guys are able to persevere and continue to support one another. I truly hope you guys find out today, best of luck to you all!
I’m pretty certain some people on this thread was rejected but they didnt post on this thread. It seems as though only people who got aceepted have posted on the thread
@tomhee469 I mean. I don’t blame them. Forums like these tend to be skewed due to the very reason.
True, plus this should be very obvious, but people forget. Not everyone who applies posts on or looks at college confidential, or even knows what it is, you will get 100+ posts on these forums compared to the thousands that apply.
Still waiting… TAG’d for Business Information Management with a 3.70. Never got less than the 3.4 in any college term required for the TAG even though only the terms Fall 2015 and Spring 2015 count I believe.
But I feel like I am waiting to get waitlisted/rejected according to last year’s threads. I don’t understand?

just a link to look at on how many applied last year compared to this year and how many got in…shows the UCs scroll down for UCI its Freshman but still gives a bit of what is going ion
just got my ucsb decision, rejected. so i’m prob gonna be rejected from uci oh well. still no official rejection from UCI yet. guess they will wait til the end to make me depressed.
