oh wow. The out of state rates are almost double the california rates in some of the schools lol. thats crazy. A lot less OOS apps, but still… that seems a bit weird. UCB looks like the only one thats really fair in that aspect.
This is going to get good. After tomorrow w/ Berkeley releasing their decisions, it will be all eyes on UCI.
@chs2014 same … i got wait listed for UCD … that gives me some hope… but im not too sure about UCi because it’s so late… about 4 others from my UC is still waiting to here back too
@uctransfer16 - well, I’m not sure if you saw the article, but some California state legislators gave UC Regents major grief over their preference for admitting international students over CA students, due to the significant boost in out-of-state income.
Wait I thought they were easy on OOS applicants for freshman admission. By law CCC applicants have to get first priority for transfer, that’s like more strictly enforced than the rule for freshmen.

@chs2014 “by law”… but since admission decisions aren’t exactly monitored by any legislators, I’m sure more than a handful of international students slip through the cracks and will take a spot over a CA state resident.
Yes I understand but there is a difference between freshman and transfer admissions. I understand people slip through the cracks for freshman admissions but the transfer system is designed to be easier for California residents than the freshmen admission system. If you look at the transfer acceptance rates for all campuses, 95+% of admitted students were CCC applicants.

so i don’t know how long i should wait for waitlist… my back up is UCR. should i just wait? it said waitlist decisions will be at the end of june.
ugh if no waitlist today than will expect a rejection…at least need a waitlist
