@averagejoe07 Hey! I am a public health major looking to get in UCI next fall (2017) and I was wondering what your essay scores were if you dont mind me asking. Also did you do any EC?? I personally hate writing and am super scared since the UC system changed their essays to 4 essays instead of 2 starting this year. I also do not have any extra curricular. my GPA as of right now is a 3.78 and I’m planning to apply for tag this fall. Would love to hear back from you. And Thanks 
Hi donuts, Never received any score for my essays, and I hear it’s going to be different questions or a new format now. I was in 2 clubs and did volunteer work part time… It didn’t take much time out of my week, and you don’t have to elaborate on how many hours you volunteer, I don’t even think any of it is verified so it’s the honor system as far as I know, but get the experience and be legit. Just get into PTK and some club related to your major, maybe volunteer in some health facility for a semester. As for writing I suggest you work with a tutor if you really think it will be hard, but keep in mind you have been writing papers for a while and you can do a good job on this and get in. There are stats a few pages back… Maybe like 10ish pages back that show the gpa for all admissions on this forum from the last two years. Good luck, and keep up your gpa
My financial aid status changed today, or was updated I should say and was basically the same as the estimate. I called and they said that I shouldn’t expect to see any of this in my zot account till August which is when we can pay our fees.
I have been accepted to UCI as a transfer fall 2016. And have completed everything! Although, I have taken only one AP TEST in high school and received a 1. I have ordered my AP TEST SCORE and sent it to UCI two different times. One in May and one in June 14th. Although, on July 12th I have checked my portal and nothing was received whatsoever and the deadline is July 15!! I visited UCI’s admission office and they said that a mistake may be my name. But also since I scored a low test score UCI won’t give me credit anyways. And that my admission won’t be revoked. I am still worried becuse the deadline is today! What should I do???
Did you get a transfer aa degree or IGETC ? If they told you that your admission is ok, you made 2 requests for the document and talked to admissions in person it would seem like you covered all your bases.the test scores really matter for freshman, not so much with transfers I don’t think. I had no tests to offer and it wasn’t a problem.
Anyone here that STILL isn’t able to view their financial aid amount? They asked me to send in a few documents about 2 months ago and I still haven’t heard back :-/
Well I’m sure there are people, but why not give them a call and ask them to look up your file ?
