<p>Apparently, waitlist comes out on May 1st. I wonder if appeals would come out at the same time.
I was just reading the waitlist thread, seems like its pretty hard for them to get in already, i wonder what our chances would be.
Well, appeals usually state special circumstances, probably won’t be the same to everybody.</p>
<p>My son received his appeal decision today. He was rejected - again. Thanks, UCLA. Transfer as a Junior? - no thanks. Funny thing is, we submitted our SIR yesterday to UCI. Makes me wonder if the appeal decision was connected in some way to our SIR yesterday.</p>

<p>Hi everyone, OP here. I sent mine in maybe the day of, or the day before (15, 14 respectively) and I’m still in review. Not sure if that means they’re grading our grammar on our appeals and thus is taking so long. But here are some facts:</p>
<ol>
<li>I did not submit an SRI to any school --going to community college. Yes, I’m that set on UCLA.</li>
<li>My major is in Arts/Architecture, DESMA to be exact.</li>
<li>6000+ characters on my essay.</li>
</ol>
<p>So I don’t know if they’re reviewing my portfolio again, hence why it’s taking longer… or… you know.</p>
<p>Still waiting! This is soooo nerve-racking! But I SIR-ed to SDSU in case…</p>
<p>I hear that UCLA is short on 300 or so students, so they’re pulling from the waitlist. Not sure if that will make room for any of us appeals…</p>
