<p>I read on Princeton review that UCSC is a weed school. Seems to be not as popular as a stereotype as UCSB’s party school. I honestly think neither of these schools are what the stereotypes says, and they are very good schools.</p>
<p>But, if UCSC’s stereotype holds true, just buy some of that on-campus weed to trip out. Forget licking animals. Lol.</p>

yeah, i think you should go lick some of those banana slugs and let us know. haha. okay, just kidding. it is certainly just a way to get the students to lick slugs. i have read that licking the underside of the banana slugs numbs your tongue, but why would that be fun? </p>
<p>ucsc has a superb physics department, but i am not getting a science degree and i do not think that the history department is very impressive. overall it is a top notch school from what i can tell. and the alumni seem to love it. very nice grounds in a natural setting. people should be thrilled to get accepted and i am very pleased that they accepted me. it is leaps and bounds above the monterey county state school: csumb. that schools is worse than the CC in the area. guess i am a UC snob, there are probably good state schools for certain programs, but i am thrilled about getting into a UC and it will be cheaper for me because the UC system offers more financial assistance in my case. if i had not been accepted elsewhere i definitely would have attended UCSC and probably would have tried to get into the physics department.</p>
<p>Actually, when you become a student it is tradition to lick the first banana slug you ever see. My boyfriend told me I had to do this when I transfer! They’re cute little fellows, they are! And no, it doesn’t make you “trip out”, those are definitely the toads. But as others have stated, just go join the smokers in the forest and you can trip out all you want. Lol. On another note, happy Easter! Hopefully we have quite a few decisions being released in the upcoming weeks! (<em>UCSC</em>, cmon!)</p>

<p>And the admit packet for UCSC, I think they could have done better. Lol. I did enjoy sky picture of the campus and city. A lot of their buildings seem to be surrounded by trees.</p>
<p>@IamSoCal- Yes, for personal reasons! I love the campus and I have half of my heart at that campus, so it makes sense for me to attend UCSC. Although, I’m confident I could get accepted elsewhere. I hope I can see the admit packet soon! I’m up at UCSC right now and would love to go to the transfer spotlight day, but I need to head home tomorrow and get back to the monotonous grind of community college…</p>

<p>you are so right Dizzle. kingdom will probably get accepted to all the other UC schools before she gets into UCSC? oh well, no news is good news, right? i just want to get things settled so i can start figuring out the best classes, and the best teachers, for the Fall. and find a place to live, if i need to move. you know, all that junk. and what about davis–anyone chatting on this site about that?</p>
