Official uga 2014 ea decision thread

ya’ll know when we find out about automatic admission to honors?

My son was just accepted Early Action. Just curious about dorms and what the best dorms are for “first year”?

Haha, I was wondering the same thing, tgsmom… It says to sign up for housing right away, even if you’re unsure of whether or not you’re going to enroll, and I have no idea what to do about that!

See # 39 above. It’s worth $35 to get and hold what you want. Web site has photos, floorplans. We recommend Myers or Hill communities. Nice buildings, on trditional quad (Myers) and close to better dining hall: Snelling.

P.S. tgsmom, welcome to CC! Pretty cool your first post is after son’s EA admit to UGA. Seriously, think twice about the high-rise dorms at UGA.

Aaah I turned in my app on October 16th (interestingly enough, it was at about 2 AM - I couldn’t turn it in on the 15th because I was visiting UGA) and I was hoping they might count me as Early Action anyway. Oh well - here’s to waiting a few more months.

Oh and my quick stats
2190 SAT (740 M/730 CR/720 W)
3.75 WGPA (yikes haha)
National Merit Semifinalist

I had many friends in that same decision between UGA and GT. UGA ( especially honors) would definitly be the better choice for medicine in order to get accepted to a top medical school without killing yourself in the process.( I have friends with 4.0s at Tech, but they never leave the library)
