<p>Snogintheloo, they meet 100% need for freshman, but I’m not sure if it’s the same for transfers. I’m worried because I have a very low EFC and am OOS. :/</p>

Those who are rejected or wait-listed keep your heads up! This is my 3rd time applying to Carolina (rejected out of highschool and wait-listed as a soph transfer). As frustrating as it was to be denied 2wice from my dream school, it worked out for the best because I got into one of the best public health school in the nation as a Junior that only accepted 36 people. And I was able to get all my difficult classes out of the way at the school I’m at now :)</p>

<p>this isn’t my first choice school, so getting waitlisted doesn’t make me sad or anything. i’m just surprised because my stats are definitely above the average listed on the UNC website, and my essay was pretty damn good. Oh well, no hard feelings. </p>

<p>Yes, I did eventually get in, stressed. As far as fin aid:</p>
<p>I sent in my fin aid stuff before March 1st (BEFORE my app, even) so I’m not sure how doing the profile late affects anyone, and in all honesty it probably doesn’t. My EFC is very low, and Carolina met ALL of my need, including 12k alone in a grant from UNC.</p>
