<p>i am completely shocked how many of u guys got in!!!</p>
<p>for those of you who were deferred, i am being honest here, i got deferred last year EA, and got ACCEPTED in the RD round, was a complete surprise</p>
<p>while i didnt end up attending, i still have the utmost respect for chicago, good luck, and maintain some hope!!</p>

<p>The only other apps I’m doing are the ones I have already sent in for MIT and the University of Rochester, but Chicago is my first choice so eventually I’ll get around to withdrawing the other apps.</p>

<p>I’m not seeing many non-acceptances. Do you guys think the admissions rate went up? I would think it would be more selective this year, what with the surge in applications.</p>
<p>I believe that everyone here really wanted to be accepted. They have researched the university, wrote amazing essays, and are smarter than the average bear- If you took a poll of people of all those who applied, I’m sure you would find a high rate of rejection. If you post on a message board about the school, I’m sure you spent the time to properly prepare your aplicaton. Plus- If I were rejected- I wouldn’t be wanting to post it on a message board!</p>
