<p>Generally. Sorry I have a friend that works at the school. She warned me about needing the 4th year so my son took a college Spanish class & got in. 3rd in his classic 100, 4.0 UW but only a 27 act.</p>

<p>I just re-read my posts and saw how much of a ***** I came off as. My bad guys, sorry. I AM bitter TBH because it sucks getting deferred from one of your top choice schools. I absolutely agree that a lot of AMAZING kids got accepted. But at the same time I believe that kids just as amazing got deferred, and for those kids, it’s sooo hard to deal with this ****…especially when there are no glaring deficiencies in their applications.</p>
<p>Very surprise to see only 1 acceptence today in nearly 10 pages. Almost all got defered today. Fortunately I didn’t receive any e-mails from Umich till now. I am still waiting. Hope tomorrow will be a wave of acceptence. Anyone here haven’t heard from admission office?</p>

<p>^OKAYYYY Wolverinemom2015. I wouldn’t doubt them suggesting 4 years of foreign language. But you said that they don’t even read your essays if you don’t take 4 years of foreign language. There’s a huge difference between those two statements. The one about them not reading your essays is clearly false.</p>

<p>@massgirl92, sorry, but I think defer means there is still a good chance to get in in the RD round. So don’t give up trying. Any other schools you have heard from?</p>
