wolverine15…
Thanks for caring! Had D call today, she had everything in on time but I guess failed to check the EA box. :\ . So we will have to wait until spring. Bummer about that. Would have liked for her to have that decision over with!

ronmolly - that stinks… well good luck

thanks a bunch wolverin15, and Ronmolly, its rolling so you should probably hear within the next month as long as your app was early, the april deadline is the latest possible. Where does it say if you’ve been accepted/deffered in the wolverine access, mine doesnt say anything.

and yes, wolverin15 its my first choice, ive wanted to go to michigan since i was six (the year my michigan cousin convinced me to root for michigan over MSU)

Has anyone not heard yet? I applied EA before the deadline and haven’t heard back yet. Maybe because I’m out of state…?

Are you sure you checked the EA box? Did you get an email 2 weeks ago telling you that you will find out soon?

kgm- check your wolverine access, click application status and see if there is a link that says view decision.

Post decisions here!

Did everyone who got accepted get the “view decision” link on Wolverine Access?

Would I have to assume that I got deferred if it’s not on the site? :(

ronnmolly, was your daughter told it would for sure be spring or by spring? My D is in the same boat, was in on time, but we did not to EA because she was doing ED at Northwestern and thought we could not. I have tried and tried to find out when might be the soonest we would hear, like maybe January? I get a different answer with everyone I speak to! Her bf also did rolling, but he got placed in EA and got in so she is especially anxious!

She can’t remember the exact semantics… Sorry. I’ll let you know as soon as she hears anything.

I spoke with 3 people from admissions over past month- two online and one on the phone. Two of them told me that all RDs would come out in April for sure, the third told me that they will still do rolling. If I had to guess, I think that truly exceptional applicants will get accepted rolling and that everyone else is April. I also think that the few RD who got admitted EA fall into the exceptional group.

I just can’t imagine them making everyone wait until April. I think too many kids would feel it is necessary to send their deposits in to other schools by then to secure a spot. But, then again, the way they have handled early action made no sense either. Some super qualified kids have been deferred. Craziness! Those of us still waiting will have to stay in touch and help eachother through the long wait! Merry Christmas to all! We are still handing out the
U of M sweatshirts this Christmas! Hope we don’t have to return them all for green!

How hard is it too get into Umich OOS?

judging by the stats of the deferred and accepted applicants, i think we’re looking at a 35-40% acceptance rate this year. probably 30-35% rate for OOS now.

Viggyram, there are at least 100 threads on cc that are longer than this one. I found one that has over 31,000 posts!

This one is a good one though.

I was also accepted to UIUC and UMich.

I think it comes down to how much money I get. Since both schools have top aerospace engineering programs.

^I was OOS to both. UIUC gave me like mostly loans, terrible aid. Dont get your hopes up.

Actually last year UIUC gave me a nice chunk of change and the UofM didn’t.

sucks for you. It made my decision easier.
