***Official University of Michigan Class of 2015 Decisions Thread***

Hope everyone hears good news today! Bronco, glad to have you back!

My son was accepted on Wolverine Access this morning…still didn’t get the email though.
So happy!!

I got in!!! just got the email (11:26)

batman7216, momsam, gowolverines15…Congrats to all of you!! Great news to head into Christmas with!!

Congrats to all that have been admitted! Those that have been deferred don’t lose hope. My D still has not heard… feeling very ominous. :</p>

^^^Your D has to hear something today right? I hope it’s good news!

Yes she hopes to hear today. Called the other day and they said it was still under review! She has very good stats so I’m a bit surprised. S went thru this a few years ago and was deferred and ultimately waitlisted… She has better stats though…

Did you check wolverine access?
Also she callls the admin office they might tell her on the phone - that is how my son heard -

Nothing on Wolverine Access… I will suggest calling the office but still don’t have a good feeling…ugh.

Son got accepted via email last Friday and just got his letter/package in regular mail this afternoon (12/23). Also his Wolverine Access says accepted today. Hopefully everyone knows by today, one way or the other.

Also, for those of you who haven’t heard a decision… did you get the email back in November saying, “We got your application on time and you will be considered for early action?” If not, maybe something in your application is amiss.

Regarding whether UM considers “rigor of coursework”… my spouse talked to an admissions officer at an admissions program 2 years ago who said, “Be sure to take LOTS of AP’s.” i.e., you have got to take the hardest classes your school has to offer, at least in the courses that you are halfway good in.

Are we in contention for longest thread in CC history ? :P

ronmolly - did you find out yet? you know if you call the school they will tell you

I got differed, i have about a 3.5-3.7 GPA taking all AP’s available (9 total, of the 4 taken so far I’ve gotten three 5’ and one 4) with a 2070 on my SAT’s 760 on US history APII and 690 on math I SAT II. i have tons of EC’s with over 150 hours of service, great recommendations, and great essays (at least that’s what my teacher’s/counselor’s told me). Anyone have any idea what my chances are of getting in? They asked four Fall semester grades and i was told i got the “best” defferel letter. And my grades that marking period are about a 3.4-3.5. (my school doesn’t weight)

also OOS ^^^

I think your chances are great -is it your first choice?

Has anyone who’s been deferred been accepted? My DD got a deferral notice last Tuesday and today got an acceptance. We’re happy, but confused. Wolverine does not reflect the acceptance – how long did that take for any of you who have been accepted?

^^^That is exciting news anothermom08. I hope to hear it happened to others too!
