OFFICIAL University of Michigan Decision - Class of 2013

yeah, they suck!!! they dont care our feelings at all, because they think they are MICHIGAN and they are cool…NOT
EFFFFFFF them

I’m instate and I have always looked at michigan in a respectful manner for their high rankings and reputation. But now, after getting deferred in Dec. and hearing nothing since then, I have lost all of it. Even Ivy Leagues gave out all decisions already, and UM can’t measure up to Ivy’s, so why are they taking so long! I mean Ivy’ prob. have more tough job selecting students due to the higher quality of students applying! I think that the UM admissions team are slacking off, I mean you got to respect your students and deadlines.

Oh well, I’m prob. going to msu or going to stanford or johns hopkins if my parents approve of their financial aid award. I mean how are they even going to let us see financial aid by may1. UM is gonna lose a lot of bright students this way.

^ exactly!!! they only update fin aid info for admitted students. and i turned in my FAFSA and CSS couple weeks ago, but nothing is shown in WA…
you’re better off than most of us, at least you could go to stanford

Michigan is a great school, but this is completely unacceptable.

We only have fifteen days to decide…When exactly can we heard from Michigan? Michigan is always my first choice since 2of my best are there. I don’t mind to wait another day or two but I have to make decission before may 1st. Btw, i’m a international student who is studying in US. I transfered to here 2 years ago and one of important reason for me to came to States is to get into school like Michigan. Now, I feel so depressed by the fact that Michigan seems not care about individuals. Anyway, I still have faith in it but i don’t think it’ll last too long…

talked to someone on an online chat from the U of M, they told me final decisions were to be made friday, and then sent out in the mail.

That does not sound promising. I would have to think that at this late stage the only thing going out by mail is a rejection. Mailing offers of admission on April 17 simply does not allow enough time to accept by May 1.

Well, to be fair to the admissions office, I think it’s mostly only deferred people whose applications are still being reviewed and the deferred kids are the ones who wanted to go to Michigan enough to apply early. In my application, it clearly states that if I get into Michigan, it’s the school I’ll go to, no matter what. I hope that helps.

I believe there are a substantial number of RD applicants who have not received a decision.

Really? My God, it’s April 15th. That’s terrible.

Yep. I applied December 15.

Got my rejection letter about a week ago for LSA Undecided

IB Diploma student from Ontario –> I dont have my predicted grades but I got an A (highest mark possible) on my extended essay and a 4/7 in french.

Two 26 ACT scores –> 20/25 English, 29/29 Math, 25/25 Science, 29/25 Reading

Damn!

I applied for RD in December 14!!!

I talked to a rep today and he said they’re going to be mailed out, and we will be recieving them by the end of the week…at the very latest, early next week.

Also, he said there are still acceptances being sent out.
And its not just deferrals, theres quite a few RD applicants still waiting.

I applied early November, still havent heard from Umich…

thissss issssss bullllllshiit.

You got that right
