logantan- I know in 2006 approx. 9000 got waitlisted, 3000 chose to be put on, and 500 got accepted. In 2007 I believe that no one got accepted off the waitlist? In 2008 I think there were less than a 100 people accepted from it.

Ok so i applied on December 15th.

I still didn’t get my decisions yet.
Anyone on the same boat?
This decision thing sort of gives me hope, even though it would be false hope haha =(

Daughter saw her waitlisted status on WA this a.m. Waitlisted for the nursing program, which is indeed competitive (they only take 80 to 100). 32 ACT, 5.0 GPA, OOS, top 12%, many ECs. Fortunately at this point she was accepted everywhere else she applied and had two other top choices. So it’s all good for her.

wow… all waitlists…

Teacher Recs: I only submitted one from my Honors English 10/AP English teacher. Don’t know what I was thinking when I didn’t ask for a math/science teacher rec. My recommendation was amazing, though.

**General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: I’m not happy, not sad. I’m simply hell-bent on getting into Michigan. I want to see if anyone who got notified today got accepted. Two other kids at my school (with a 29 and a 30 on the ACT, respectively) also got waitlisted. I think my application was stronger than theirs, so I’m hopeful. Good luck to everyone!

**General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: Disappointed that I held off replying to other universities until Michigan’s belated decision to further delay their final decision arrived. Even the Ivy Leagues had better timing with their turnaround.

So, basically, on April 16 Michigan waitlisted all of the applications they had not yet gotten to. Is there any other conclusion that one can draw?

but i am still waiting…ugh

wow… i also got wait-listed today… did they just put a whole bunch of ppl on the wait-list???

when do they start accepting waitlisters?

clyde- I dont think thats true. I know a lot of deferrals, including me, that got waitlisted. I also know many people who have applied ER and early on in RD who got waitlisted, so I’m sure they’ve had plenty of time to review them.

atreen- I called their office this morning and someone told me that once they get all of the deposits in, then they can start to see how many open spots they have…if any. She said late May, early June. Ive heard even late as mid-august.

did they accept/reject anyone? all i’ve heard is waitlists!

nevermind. the mail i just got said before May 15th. thanks anyways.
