not yet, i was stupid enough to make an error in my SSN(1 digit off), so all my UC’s FA are delayed.hah. I’m still waiting for a big local scholarship though, i’ll decide in … 1 wk!

Michigan’s school colors are maize and blue. The athletic uniforms are those colors. I don’t know where the saying comes from, but you’ll hear it a LOT at Michigan. You should probably learn the fight song, too.

I’ve applied to RD and I still didn’t get the decision.
UMICH is not keeping their words. I called them last week and they told me my decision will be made at the end of the week. And it didn’t came out.
So I called them on Monday and the officer told me that my decision will come out by Tuesday. – IT still didn’t came out.
So I just called them and they told me they have just made my decision yesterday.
But I cannot check my decision on wolverine access and I this WA is just so dumb.
Is it only my laptop that keeps repeating the authentication error whenever I try to login WA? IT SERIOUSLY SUCKS.
I pretty much gave up getting in to Umich because not even a week has left until may 1.
Do you think this make sense? It is soooo ridiculous.
Now all I’m hoping is the waitlist… lol… poor me…

One of my best friends was accepted today. She received a letter saying she was waitlisted on 4/20. Nothing changed on WA. Today she got an email from U-M saying she was accepted.

She had a 30 on the ACT. I’m pretty sure she has a 4.0 U-M GPA. If it isn’t exactly a 4.0, it’s very close. She went to my high school in the 9th and 10th grade, which is a huge competitive suburban high school. Junior year she moved to a tiny school in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with a graduated class of roughly 40 where no AP or honors classes were even offered. And for her senior year, she moved to a high school with a graduating class of about 150 where a few AP classes were offered.

She might have been a special case because she had to move so much. I am very happy for her!

My top choice, Im totally psyched.

Most of us Detroit students are required to attend the program due to the lower quality of our education. You must agree that we wont be at everyone’s level if we go in as is. We are required to take a bridge from high school to college so we will be set in the fall. Thats all it is. Works for me!

Ok…I know two caucasian upper middle class kids from competitive high schools who are attending this program. They were admitted off the waitlist. Why would they qualify for this program??

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: I was wait listed, but then I was admitted into LSA. I will be attending Michigan this fall. Class of 2013!

michigan mom, are you sure they’re in the summer bridge? there’s a difference between the summer bridge program and starting at the summer semester, and it’s far more likely that the kids at the competitive high school are simply taking a class or two this summer to get started. I for one was waitlisted and then accepted to the summer semester and went to an excellent high school. Summer bridge, I’m pretty sure, is exclusively for students whose education has probably not been adequate, as in inner city Detroit.
