ya, I’ve been thinking about eng/chem or eng/applied math

I love the humanities too…haha I think math is a little stifling sometimes (I feel horrible for saying that because I’m asian).

What are you majoring in?

What are you majoring in?

I honestly don’t know haha
I love English and I like the idea of psychology(though I actually haven’t taken a psychology class). I also like biology to a certain extent, so I’m not sure. I’ll probably just declare an undecided major when I’m appying.

Only the AP Science kids and a handful of wildcards with 4th hour study halls participate in teh Fantasy Science League. But anyone can own a team.

When I go to college, I’ll probably major in Biochemistry unless I go to Purdue. In that case, I’ll be taking the Pharmaceutical Sciences major of death. I really want to make medicine, like research and stuff as the ultimate goal. So I’lll be going to college for the rest of my life.

Haha, aww, well as long as you’re doing what you enjoy, that’s all that matters:)

Visited a ChE department today in the rain, cold, wind, and worst weather in the Eastern seaboard. It still went pretty well and I’m still strongly considering something like a 3 year program leading to a BS in Chem, BS in ChE, minors in physics and math, and a MS in ChE followed by law school.

Yay for us juniors! I feel like this year is going by quickly. I’m actually lovin it, lol.

OK quick question: So i feel like this year I’m totally joining too many extra curriculars. I mean I’ve been doing key club since freshman year, and ecology club/spanish honor society/mu alpha theta since sophomore year, but then now i was chosen for national honor society, and am about to join science honor society and possibly international club, and i’m junior class treasurer…but how much is enough? I feel like i’m in way too many things already!

^It seems to be going quickly for me too. Seems like I’ll be at Northeastern University (hopefully) soon enough :D

And I would say just do what you can handle. If you feel like your doing too much, then maybe drop something that you aren’t really into. If you can handle it though, I’d so go for them if you want. But it seems like you kind of answered your own question by saying you feel like you’re doing too much already :)

Everyone always says that, but by the time you graduate from college, let alone obtain a graduate degree, the economy should be better.

I have a preliminary list with 18 schools that sounded interesting to me. However, 10 of these are reaches so there is going to need to be a major overhaul before I start writing applications. I haven’t visited any college yet so I don’t really have a first choice at this point, but there is a good chance I’ll apply to Penn ED.

What school?

State-school…don’t think I’ll get the logistics worked out though =/

 .

:p I don’t like to be overly forthcoming with personal information…just wanted to let you know it wasn’t like Harvard or MIT. Oh, and I don’t mean the school offers a 3-year program leading to dual-BS’s and an MS, I mean I want to work with them to modify their 5 year plan into a 3-year plan because of the 80+ hours of college credit I’ll have when I graduate from high school.

^I didn’t even read the rest of what you said. I just wanted to see what college it was lol.

Has anyone else gone to see any colleges yet? I’ve seen UC Davis and UC Berkeley, but that’s it:/

I’ve seen UT @ Austin a few times (no official visit, though, just saw the campus and went into some buildings). I’ve been to William and Mary a billion times since my dad went there and we always go to their bookstore and everything. Hopefully this winter break I’ll be looking at some colleges in Boston, and maybe NYU (if I’m REALLY lucky). I figure I better see them in winter so I know what to expect if I have to live there for 4 years (5 if I get into Northeastern U… which I’d better!) I’ve lived in Arizona for most of my life, so I will probably freeze to death :D

I’ll get to check out UNC later this year…and Duke during the summer.

Haha, I know what you mean, I would love to go to Massachusetts for college, but I’ll have a difficult time adjusting due to the weather that I’m accostumed to in California. O well, I’d love to go visit colleges over there once I get a chance.

cali weather spoils us :)

but heres to a college on the east coast lol

How many APs are you taking/have you taken so far?

Hehe, the winter is definitely going to kill me. But hey, I’ve survived 120 degree weather, I can do the other extreme. Plus, they have SEASONS :D

^I’m taking 4 this year, and I didn’t take any freshman or sophomore year. I didn’t even know my school had AP until after sophomore year, lol. Hopefully that wont screw me over, though. I took community college courses last year (and will be this year), so maybe that’ll help. Plus I have an upward trend in grades and course rigor, lol. Stupid school. They don’t really encourage people to take harder classes =

Sorry, what should have been a simple answer became a rant, haha.
