Official Unofficial Class of '11 Thread

I haven’t gotten too hammered by homework this weekend…all I’ve got to do today is read about 200 pages of Great Expectations, which’ll probably only take 3 hours, luckily.

What schools have you guys visited so far? Are you in love with any yet?

I visited Barnard about a month ago and I’m irrevocably in love with it.

My workload this year has been manageable thanks to the fact that I’ve stopped procrastinating too much! Ironically I have better grades in my APs and lower grades in just the honors!
Junior Schedule:
Analysis
AP English Lang/Comp: English Novel
AP English Land/Comp: Selected American Authors
AP Spanish
Child Development
APUSH
Honors Physics
Select Honor Choir

Phew.

I haven’t done any homework over break until today. :frowning: I don’t have too much, but I should definitely get started…now. But I think I will just hang around on CC for another 10 minutes or so. :)

YAAAY SENIOR SCHEDULES
I’ve had mine planned for sooo long haha:
Calc AB AP
Comp/Lit AP
Physics Honors
Chem AP
AP Gov/Econ
and maybe French 5 AP

Also wanted to take Art History AP and Human Geo AP and like
Journalism, Biotech, and Studio Art but no room in schedule : (

i cant wait until Jr year is over! senior schedule:
-AP gov.
-AP comp/lit
-Math anal
-art class for 2 semesters(i put it off for 3 years, and it’s mandatory @ my school to take it 2x)
-AP psych/chem? (not sure about my science)
-AP french (slim chance lol) if not, itd just be random electives to cover graduation requirements

Senior Schedule: (Tentative. Also, school doesn’t offer APs)

English IV
Advanced Historical Concepts (our AP history equivalent I guess?)
Calculus
French V
Advanced Chemistry
Latin Literature Independent Study
(some random art class)

I am soooo ready to just have junior year (and all the testing that comes with it…) over! I can’t wait until we’re seniors, and able to make real decisions about college. :)

this thread has been rejuvenated- so post if you’ve gotten your PSAT scores
I haven’t gotten mine

Neither have I =\ It’s driving me nuts.

I don’t have my official score report yet, but after posting extensively in the official PSAT 2009 threads here on CC I have a pretty good idea of what my score is. Still, I’ll wait until I actually receive my score report before I post my score in this thread.

Junior Year Schedule (changed several times prior to final version):
-AP English Language
-AP Calculus AB
-Spanish V Literature (level after AP)
-AP Macroeconomics
-AP US History
-Honors Physics

Next year’s schedule will most likely be:
-Senior English Electives (we don’t offer AP English Lit)
-AP European History
-AP Statistics
-Spanish V Culture (same level of difficulty as the Literature course; school doesn’t offer anything beyond Level V but I wanted four years of Spanish)
-AP Chemistry (I decided that actually taking the class would be the best decision)

For senior year, I also plan to self study Calc BC, since it will be very easy especially after taking AB. The English courses at my school are pretty rigorous too (a LOT of writing and analyzing involved), so I also expect to take the AP English Lit exam at the end of senior year.

I don’t want to know how I did on that. Thank goodness it wasn’t the SAT.

^Haha, I’m kind of the same way. I think I did poorly, but I still have hope. Especially since the NMSF cutoff for Arizona is so low.

Sometimes it’s good to live in a state with a poor education system. I have better chances of getting NMSF and I’m pretty much guaranteed to go to college since the in state schools have to accept me since I exceed their requirements. Yay! :P

Lol, I live in California. I think the cut-off is around 219 so I have a slim chance!:/

At least we have UC’s:)

Got my PSAT results today. Don’t remember the particulars but my final score said that I scored better than 89% of college bound juniors.

Here (in the Midwest), it’s all about the ACT. Nobody takes the SAT. Got my October ACT scores back a while ago and I got a 29. I’m hoping for at least a 31-32 by the time I have to send in the scores.

Senior schedule:

AP Calc
Physics
Spanish III
Economics
English 12
Independent Art
Independent CAD
Physical Conditioning

I didn’t get my PSAT scores yet. I’m beyond pumped for Saturday. I have a debate meet, in which I need to be up at 3:30 for, at my school at 4. And then that night, I’m going to the girls’ basketball game. Since it’s the return of the former girls’ basketball coach and horiffic math teacher that I’ve had the mispleasure of having. And I just made a shirt. I turned a shirt that they sold at tailgate my freshman year inside out. I wrote on it with painters’ tape. It’s a royal blue shirt, so the light blue of the painter’s tape works.
It says:
(onfront)
2+2=5 (vertically)
(on the back)
I DO MATH LIKE GRAY.

Basically, everyone’s beyond pumped for this game.

got my psat’s back… into nmsf territory, from nj! woo!

^Nice.

I’m teetering on the edge. I haven’t gotten my scores back but from the curves I could either be slightly above or below the NMSF cutoff. I hope I didn’t make any other mistakes.

What is the mnsf cutoff? What’s the %?

I’m stressing more
about psats

class of '11!!! my schedule is:
