Official US November SAT Discussion II (Test with Negative Campaigns)

Wait
Audacities)I am pretty sure that the question was 6x=5y which equals to 4.2

Thank you any, smooch, and Purp!!! :smiley:
That’s the one question I didn’t answer in the entire test fail lol
Also Purp, I remember because I was dwelling on that question for the longest time, even though I knew I couldn’t change the answer anyway.

Patrician was the correct answer but it might not be because it’s experimental. I thought the dance one was the hardest passage but I think it was experimental.

Ah yes jcm, that’s the answer I got too. Sorry for the typo! :’(

I thought “cool” meant amicable (marriage passage). Did anyone else think that?

Thank you, Lays, for the confirmation! I see, so some people probably didn’t get that passage. :slight_smile:
Also, it would be REALLY nice if the school dance passage was experimental because I had trouble with at least one question in that section too.

Concession was definitely an answer.

College, I thought cool meant reserved. :0

Wait. Did this test have different experimental sections as well? I swear I had a CR experimental section, but I can’t seem to recall the dance one.

what was the question for concession?
was it a secondary/tertiary meaning question?

Was the one with R and S as slopes experimental

To find which slope did not belong.(it was on a line graph)…didnt most of them not work?

I remember mastermind, it was question 4 for the slope one. I was like “***?? this crap is hard” and I picked answer D but I don’t remember what it was!

@tasreep, it’s too early for that because we barely have 1/3 of the questions in.

@Classiclays, did you have a Math Experimental? I couldn’t solve it !

I vaguely recall a question about this abundant species of shorebirds… any ideas? Also, there was a separate writing question concerning bird watchers looking at birds with binoculars because they hardly ever get to closely observe them. And another question about Tom/Travis/some guy being a really good cook for a Japanese girl’s birthday? I’m like 95% sure I got these right but I just wanted to put it out there for the sake of archiving.

i’m 95% sure that i did not get these questions…

@audacities
For the cook it was “A really good cook, ___________” I think I put [insert guy’s name] prepared whatever. There was an error though, I believe.

■■■■■ at japanese girl’s birthday
are you talking about
An exceptional cook, Tyler brought whatever (it was like assortment of delicious food) to mitsuko’s birthday party.

bird watcher one was like
the birdwatchers were able to watch birds (from long distances) using binoculars
and i forgot the shorebirds question but it does sound familiar

For the one with the poet and artists, i do not understand how it is 200. 40 people bought both a copy by the poet and artist. The total was 410, so 410-40 is 370. the artist had 50 more than the poet, so x + x+ 50 = 370 x= 160 for poet…

Nope, that was a real section :frowning: I think it was solvable but you had to use the answer choices (instead of solving it out without looking at the answers)

poet and artists
410 40 bought both
370 = x + x + 50
x = 160
don’t forget the intersection where 40 bought both…
160 + 40 = 200
