I put atavistic as well

oh okay thanks classiclays! i was just curious because i personally chose pluralism and even so, i couldn’t understand the argument for fanaticism or atavism because of the definitions being so… interpretable

What was the question again for atavistism again?

i only remember penguins…

Pluralism, is “A form of society in which minority groups maintain their independent cultural traditions.” The penguins were not divided into minorities, and Fanaticism is “related to devotion/ being a fanatic for something.”
Even though it could have been Fanaticism, the context clues in the sentence, which were along the lines of “Over many years, only 100 penguins had left the island”, make the answer lean towards atavism.

Competetive for sure
Anyone got disaproval for it doesn’t effect voter’s behavior?
what was the meaning of the super long word starts with a p… was it movement?
And the last writing section anyone remembers the one anwer was capable of explaining for satisfication?

I put pluralism but I feel like fanaticism is the right one. Avatism is a reversion to something that previously occurred. That would suggest a change had occurred (to revert back). In this case, there was no change.

The word was peregination. It means a course of travel so I put exploration. Movement seemed like good choice though

the super long word was peregrination… i chose movement too…

iwanttostudy
i got disagreement
and the continental “peregrination” i put movement
for capable for explaining satisfaction … i knew there was something wrong with it so i settled for: able to explain to our satisfaction :s

I put what smooth did for the satisfaction/deficit in a fiscal economy question. Hopefully we both got it right? :U

I think disapproval seem better cuz it was mainly talking about voters behavior effected by negative campaigns(if that was the answer to the first question)
And why was a senator with happy family seem not as strong as critisizing opponent? I forgot the answer…

i just assumed that since peregrination was put in the context of “continental drift”… it was less of an exploration and more of casual movement. i didn’t think it was “devastation” or “transformation” either.

atavism/fanaticism/pluralism was a really hard question. wow. I’m still not sure what the answer should be. I think it was one of those questions you would only get right if you were well read and used to the context they usually would be used in rather than just knowing the definitions.

i put movement for peregrination as well. I was slightly unsure, though :d

and definitely not sincere. definitely humorous. that passage was kinda hilarious for me, and I actually loled in the first paragraph with the thigh being ripped off lmao i was like, dang, i wish my textbooks were this funny.

oh here’s a question:
what can be said about the positive tv campaigns?
largely transparent
potentially misleading

Which passage was humorous? I don’t even remember the thigh being ripped off cuz I don’t read the whole passage anyways…

@ classiclays,
with the definitions you provided, I’m leaning to pluralism.

potentially misleading

@ iwanttostudy
the tectonic plates one.

@smooch
potentially misleading!

Largely transparent, yes!!! I don’t think it’s misleading cuz the author said it’s just not strong enough to provide enough reason for voters to vote but didn’t mention anything like misleading

zora neale hurston passage:
what does it mean for her unpublished works to be characterized as “treasure hunted”?
prized and rare
lost but not forgotten forgotten

I put potentially misleading. Why would it be transparent…
