2) unanticipated … placating for the disgruntled worker
3) Jeff was appreciated at work by his coworkers for his _______. His attention to the more important issues made all the difference. Assiduity and pragmatism were two of the answer choices

I had reading experimental and I dont remember the native Americans or mercurial. What were the other choices for mercurial?

And I confirm 120

I really don’t remember the penguin question at all… Does anyone know how it went?

It was about a hundred penguins leaving while the other 50,000 stayed. I dont remember the exact wording.

I thought the answer to the penguin question was fanaticism. What do you think?

I put pluralism but I think that fanaticism is a better answer. However, since each word has multiple meanings, it can go either way.

Did anyone think several of these questions were flawed this time, like the math 2,4,9 one and the pluralism vs fanaticism.

I think it was somewhat flawed. I remember last test people emailed CB and they actually answered. I’m not sure if that was a one time thing though.

Pluralism is minority groups. Weren’t the penguins who stayed majority?

Unanticipated… Placating was not experimental

Personally, I put fanaticism for the penguin question but I’m not at all sure that that’s right. :(

omg where are people getting the mercurial question from?
are you sure that’s not experimental because i had math experimental and i never saw that question.
btw, i woke up and realized i missed one sentence completion last night

he was … lauded for something (something about modern jazz?) but some people thought his conservative ways … inhibited

“A condition or system in which two or more states, etc., coexist.” is also pluralism. It could infer that there were two seperate systems where some chose to leave and the majority chose to stay.

I honestly can not decide if pluralism or fanaticism fits better. I’m leaning more towards fanaticism though.

edit: I also got lauded/inhibited.

I can’t remember mercurial either and I had experimental CR. Are you guys sure it’s not on the other test?

oh right, and the sanctuary one was the first one on sentence completion
kim and whoever stayed home because it was a sanctuary from the deprecating evils of society or somewhat

Aww, sorry smooch. Yeah, I think the question’s answer was lauded/inhibited, since he was a great musician but took away from jazz.

Lays, I really hope you’re right! :’)

I put fanaticism, here’s why:

Why it is fanaticism: implies wild or excessive dedication. I think this is correct because the question was worded such that the vocab word should be an extreme adjective, which fanaticism is.

Why it isn’t pluralism: As SourApple said, pluralism deals with minorities, the penguins were the majority.

Why it isn’t atavism: Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn’t atavism refer to an individual, not a society?

i never got the native american records one even though the galvanized answer choice one seems familiar. btw buffalo massacre is definitely portended

Strom, I agree, since your post was basically the thought process that I went though on that question. Except I didn’t/still don’t really understand what atavism means. lol
