@ilovescience:

Congratulations!!! I’m sure that you were indeed accepted!!! BTW, may I ask when you submitted your application?

It’s so encouraging to finally see some status changes on here. Hopefully, we’ll all get ours sooner than later!

@ilovescience
Prospective usc transfer from ucsb too! That’s so exciting, congrats!!

Hey Everyone! Don’t forget to join the Facebook group page reserved for USC Transfer Applicants/Students for the Fall 2012-Spring 2013 Semesters! We’re building a nice family there so far… Join!

https://www.facebook.com/groups/321992387850755/

I want to join the group, but I don’t want to jinx myself! :o I’m a little superstitious lol. That would be a sad day if I was rejected but had already joined the group!

@Stephen When did the majority of last year’s transfer students get their acceptance letters?

I’m hoping we’ll have good news sooner rather than later! If I get admitted, I’ll join the group for sure! :]

@newchapter14

Last year’s transfers began receiving their acceptance packets in the mail in May. I got mine in mid-May, but I do believe that it depends which school you applied to (Dornsife, Annenberg, Marshall, etc.). I remember all of us were obsessed with checking the online system to see if our statuses changed! :)

Don’t worry! I know it’s tough with all of the anxiety, but be confident about your application. Applying to USC makes all of you a Trojan in my mind! The group will always be around, so join whenever you’re ready! Just a note though, it is a great place to ask any questions and connect with other prospective transfer applicants who are experiencing the same anxieties that you are experiencing.

I hope you hear good news as well!!!

Another thing that I should point out, is that not everyone who receives acceptance packets in the mail were admitted for the fall semester. Some of my peers were admitted as Spring admits, even though we all received our packets at the same time.

Congrats @ilovescience!! Gah what a relief!!! :)

To everyone else in the thread, I have a really random question/ I’m just paranoid.

For those of you who took a tour of the campus, did you receive a hand written postcard type thank you from your tour guide? It’s probably just USC’s standard procedure but I haven’t heard from USC in the longest time so just getting this card is freakin’ me out!

I’m probably just reading too much into it.

@chloe316 I received that postcard too. This wait is excruciating, my Admissions Status still says “status not available”.

@ gousc92 i submitted pretty lateee…jan 17

and thank you again everyonee!!!
ill be sending good vibes your way & prayin for more acceptances coming in everyones way!

@ilovescience

Jw but what does it say when you click on the application status check box on USConnect?

@ bearterritory3

i dont have that box anymoreee. it was replaced with the 2 other boxes for the commitment payment and rsvping for events

@ ilovescience- congrats on the acceptance! i was wondering if your application status updated to something other than the message “We have received your Common Application and USC Supplement, and it appears…” before the box completely disappeared.

@Stephen Christian
Any idea of when people started to get SGR’s?

@ angieyeh yeah i got that message and i had that message for awhiiiiiile…and tbh i kinda stopped checking usconnect for awhile so im not sure if maybe it changed to something else after that. and thank you!! :)

how do you guys think theyre going about the transfer decisions? sophomore applicants first, then freshmen?

Hey everyone quick question how long did it take for your message to change once you guys sent in your official transcripts? I applied super late past the deadline my stats are
Gpa3.78…
35 semester credits I’m also a veteran with a few ECs I’m hoping to get in for the spring maybe. You guys think there’s hope
oh I applied as an undecided student…

@ilovescience
Sorry for asking so many questions but did you have any W’s at ucsb?

[Slaying of two graduate students stuns USC; LAPD seeks killer - latimes.com](<a href=“Archive blogs”>Archive blogs)

What a terrible tragedy! I love USC, but I’ll admit that I am very concerned about the safety in the area. I don’t know what kind of housing I’ll be able to afford, and it sounds like these students were right outside their apartment when this happened. :(

@newchapter
I remember reading an article about the safety issues around USC. most students said they feel very safe at the campus, but once they go out, they start to feel the danger. So i think, maybe living at the campus is a good choice?? at least this is what i am going to do… :(
