Official USC 2012 Transfer Thread

encgdr: but does it work for accepted students who don’t know they’re accepted yet…? I mean I don’t think that until you see it on your actual usconnect you will see it on the backdoor link.

it’s discouraging to see people with amazing stats getting rejected.

Hey, so those who received the April 1st. status, is this a good sign?

@LilyAmandaPotter

Lol, relax. SCA doesn’t care about stats…at least not a lot. Although, a GPA of 2.5 isn’t going to fly.

Any changed my status, now I am on June 1st and I have 4 boxs now. but I did not get any rejection commend… Is that good sign? sigh… I applied for SCA film

Anyone wanna take a guess at how they’d look at my spring grades?

9 Units 3 Classes, with 1 Dropped Class (W) and 1 class as incomplete which I am planning on finishing next semester. Probably getting a 4.00 for those 3 classes I got.

@ragingzero
Even though your GPA was great. My college counselor told me that getting a W or Incomplete blows your chances because they wanted to see you do well in the classes you reported. But then again admissions is very random with decisions and maybe as long as they werent classes for you major, you’ll probably be fine. Best of luck. :)

Well I didn’t just apply to SCA, I applied to Dornsife as my second choice for psychology and my GPA is 3.75 before spring, spring will probably only change it to 3.79

I’m doing the 3/2 engineering program (3 years at a liberal arts college to get a BA in physics, 2 years of engineering at USC) and my school told me it would be ‘guaranteed’ with a 3.25. Turns out those councelers at my school were full of ****. Funny that I based my academic life based around what they said.

@BlackRose21: Haha thanks, I don’t remember the flavors, i just ate them as a whole. I never discriminated lol.

Also, people should keep in mind that USC said they’d make a decision OR CONTACT YOU (ie. SGR’s) on or by June 1st. Because it seems like some people who got SGRs were also expecting something else by June 1st, but if you had your spring grades requested, that counts as your “June 1st” contact/decision. At that point, you’re fair game to go beyond 6/1.

@USCduck - you had 3 boxes earlier and now you have 4 boxes saying june 1st?

Got accepted this morning! Thursday night I got the April 1st change, I checked it the next day (today) and got my enrollment box. I called in to confirm and the admissions guy told me congrats and that I was accepted.

Marshall applicant with 3.45 gpa!

Good luck everyone!

GAH. What does the April 1st status mean? I’m mostly seeing people getting accepted after the April 1st status… Was anyone who received this status rejected?

Just letting everyone know, I live 2 miles down from USC on the same street, and have yet to receive a single thing in the mail.

Status as of now: April 1st/midyear report

When I log into USC Oasis, under Stars Interactive Audit Report it says that I am an international relations major (which was my 3rd choice on the common application).

When I click on the backdoor link for enrollment commitment deposit, I get “user not authorized” message.

That is all for now. Will update tomorrow

So i just checked my us connect and i noticed that the mid year box is gone. It wasn’t replaced by anything at all (particularly the enrollment deposit box) so now I only have 3 boxes left in the admissions tab. I’m guessing this means rejection…

@alby13, try this link when you’re logged into usconnect
https://camel2.usc.edu/Talisma/StatusBucket.aspx</a></p>

@smcpaul
it says “this site does not open to public access.”
what does that mean? rejection?

alby13 i am not sure… but all i can tell you is that i can still see my midyear/april 1st on “status box” and it’s clickable/viewable for me

still 4 boxes for me

can you log into usc oasis?

I’m sooo confused. So can anyone see an Enrollment Commitment Box after logging into USConnect and using this backdoor link: http://usconnect.usc.edu/USCRenderservice/ServiceRender/AdmUGCertification.aspx</a> or is it just me?

Unfortunately when I click the box it says I’m not authorized, but I mean I see the ECD box so that must be a good sign right? So confused and frustrated right now!

My status JUST turned to April 1st today! I last checked yesterday morning so it must have been updated some time in the afternoon. I’m SO excited just to have some change and deviation from that June 1st status!!

Have we decided what the April 1st status means? Is it for sure a good thing?
