@strenghftw
I asked for a fall bump and they told me they can’t :confused: maybe that was just me though…

@ everyone
admission told me that they switched a lot of us to spring so they have to redo FA packages which will take 2 to 3 weeks

For anyone else that was admitted to Fall 2012, have you received any updates about financial aid? I checked on OASIS and Connect but it doesn’t have any information about financial aid. For OASIS, it shows financial aid document to be updated, but the awards are unavailable. Is this normal?

I called to ask financial aid and they said I should receive the package after a week. I’m worried because financial aid will be the deciding factor…

@shelby it sounds like they are at capacity for fall, its slightly disappointing but not too bad in the grand scheme of things, thanks for the info.

so theres no way for spring admit to still go for fall?

Just got the April 1st status today! Tomorrow shall be the moment of truth!

i feel like I’m the only person left with June 1st… :frowning:
probably rejected.

2-3 weeks for financial aid? -__-

@everyone,

Yes 2-3 weeks for FA. they have to repackage for it to all fit for spring semester. At least that’s what admissions told me…

Hopefully, its a bit sooner than that. I am enrolled at CSU Fullerton but I dont want to tell them I dont plan on going until I see my FA package.

EDIT: Can I get in trouble for being committed to both schools for a few weeks?

@ngarcia no you can’t get in trouble… you can commit to as many enrollment deposits as you can afford lol…

@ngarcia I had the same concern since USC would be way too expensive without good FA for me to go. I called the FA office on Monday and they said that I would not be required to commit to USC until I got my FA award notice even if the two week mark passed already. Good thing too since my FA award is nowhere to be seen and the two week mark after my admittance is tomorrow…

@matark do we have to let admissions know that were waiting on fin aid before we submit the ecd? Also do we have to submit ecd to sign up for orientation? The last day to sign up for the july 27th orientation is this friday so im not sure what i should do!

The person I talked to onto the phone made it seem as if all transfer students were able to delay their ECD until they get their FA award, but I might be wrong about this. I’m worried about orientation too, but I haven’t signed up for that either. At this point I think it might just be easier to defer to Spring semester…

You guys can just contact admissions to let them know that you’re still waiting on FA. They’ll grant you an extension, not sure how long the extension will be…

And you have to deposit before you can sign up for orientation I’m almost certain.

You can also attend the international orientation I’m pretty sure, not sure if it’s totally different from the normal ones or not

Does anyone know how many days it takes for the admission package to arrive after getting the ECD? I’m worried because we just moved and i have this feeling that it might get lost somewhere.

@FHK993
Mine came they day after my ECD box arrived… They usually send it out thy day after they made a decision (day after April 1st status)
