The average transfer GPA is 3.7.

I just submitted my application. I tried requesting a password on USConnect but it says the password request failed. Do you think that is because it takes some time to update on the system? Anyone??

@jeremystory: I meant with a 3.95 average GPA, it would be a low acceptance rate. But the fact still stands that this is not UT Austin haha. I hope you get into both though!

Hi,
so for commonapp, we had to answer some questions about ourselves, such as our favorite film, favorite food, etc.

Is it okay if I answered this almost wittily? It’s, basically, in a way I would speak. I used exclamation points, used a casual word like “awesome” and whatnot. They reference what I’m talking to IF the person were to understand it.

I don’t wanna give it away but this show/movie seems to be popular. The movie, especially. So do you think kind of putting a witty “reference” to the movie would make me look informal or bad?

Are transcripts supposed to have already arrived by today? Or as long as they’re mailed out and postmarked by today’s date we’re okay? Thanks.

So is it true that decisions come out 6/1 or anytime shortly after that?
That’s such a long time from now…

As long as theyre postmarked by Feb 1 then everything should be fine.

@msrv99 From what I read, you should get a notification by June, not after June. So Im the notifications should start coming out in a couple of months. Everyone should be notified by June 1

USC states that they will focus on HS and SAT scores if you have less than 30 transferable units. I’m transferring from another UC so I think some of my units won’t carry over, but if they count my Spring quarter I should have around 30. Do they mean 30 transferable by Spring quarter? Also, do they count AP units? Because i’d have way over 30 if they do. Thanks!

Are the CSS + FAFSA due at 11:59pm on Feb 2?

The majority of people hear before then, inline with the rest of transfer decisions. The only exception would be if you received a SGR (Spring Grade Request). This would delay your notification until about June.

Stupid question I know, but what address were the transcripts supposed to be mailed to?

USC Office of Admission
Undergraduate
University Park Campus
Los Angeles, CA
90089-0911

Just called the admissions office. Your transcript does NOT have to be postmarked by Feb 1. They want it in within the next 1-2 weeks, that is all. And if you can’t get it in by then, like me, then you have to e-mail them telling them why. As long as your commonapp is completed by Feb 1, it’s good.

For those who submitted it, how long did it take for your status to update? I sent mine in yesterday and it still says that they only have my Supplement. Grr.

Update where? USConnect?

It took about 2 days for the application to go from Submitted to Downloaded. I just checked USConnect and it’s telling me I didn’t submit my CA Supplement. (Which I obviously did).

If anything is out of order, I would give it a few days before you start panicking.

My USConnect updated in about 12-14 hours. I submitted yesterday at 6pm and this morning around 10am it was already downloaded and updated on USConnect

Does USC email you to activate USConnect?

Called USC admissions and they have all my documents/transcripts/letters of recs, even though not all of them show up on my USConnect document received list. If you’re ever wondering what they have and what they don’t, just give them a call. Very nice people.

@blackmamba they didn’t email me to activate USConnect, I just requested a password about 24 hours after I submitted my common app.
