Does anyone know how long after submitting our app. can we sign up for USConnect?

I’m kind of freaking out, but I’m trying not to think of it. My only big concern is keeping my grades up! I’m just trying to get above a 3.5 this semester…I feel so unmotivated; it’s awful. And my interests in majors completely changed after I submitted my app, so I hope I will be able to switch around if I go to USC. Otherwise, I’ll actually be happy here since the program is just as good as USC’s.

^ It took about 24 hours after I submitted my application for me to be able to request a password.

Movement on my application this morning. Lists everything they have received from me at this time. My college transcripts are in route so they said I need to submit my sat and act scores as well as a midterm report but I’m assuming that’s because they don’t realize I have over 60 units yet haha can anyone tell me what the undergraduate app page 1 and 2 are? It says I need to complete still, but have no idea what it is? Haha

Sorry to keep posting just wanted to let you know I called the office of admissions and they said not to worry about those. In case anyone else was seeing that haha

Bandit

I was just about to post, USConnect is telling me I didn’t submit my supplement. I figured it was a glitch in the system.

I called into the admissions office to confirm they had all my documents, and they did, even though USConnect doesn’t show it.
The guy was looking over my grades and test scores and his reaction was really funny. He said to me, “Girl don’t let no man get in the way of you pursuing your dreams cus you going a looong way.”
LOL. Hopefully this means I’m in, and getting a scholarship to boot… -____-

@Mitch

Yeah as I’m sure well all find out in the next few months, you have to take our status at USconnect with a grain of salt. The woman I spoke to was very nice and said my app and supplement were submitted and to not worry about that undergraduate app page 1 and 2. Mitch does yours say anything about an undergraduate app or your actual common application?

After requesting a password from usconnect, about how long did it take for you guys to receive the e-mail?

@ilikebananas

Haha it sounds like that guy you spoke to was much more mire animated than the guy I talked to. When did you submit your application? Apparently were supposed to get something in the mail verifying they processed our app and supplement.

Shark

Never got an email. I just requested one. It took around 24 hours.

Hey guys when i click check application status on USConnect it says that it received my common app and supplement, but they need a few more pieces of information and it says to check “admission documents” to see which files are missing. However when i click Admission Documents, it says nothing is received… is it just a glitch? I sent in my transcripts and letters of recommendation…

Hey guys, so apparently SAT scores that were taken more than 2 years ago don’t count? Is that true? The guy told me that one of my SAT scores from 2009 wouldn’t be factored into the decision process… and I did really well on that test… : (

@ Bandit
I submitted my application on 1/31, but mailed in all my materials much earlier. I haven’t received an e-mail from USC informing me of anything, but the man I spoke to said I was good to go.

@ Shark
It takes ~10-15 min to receive the password after you request it. If you requested it once, don’t request multiple times! Because then you’ll need to wait even longer for the 2nd email to arrive, and the password you receive from the 1st e-mail won’t work… so just be patient :)

@markyang27 Yes mine looks exactly like this but im guessing it take them a long time to update everything. Call them and see what they dont have, and if they dont have anything after a week, then you should get worried.

@Bandit @Bananas thank you guys! I received my password.

On the common application site, under the ‘My Colleges’ section where it lists your application, supplements, payments, etc. does it say ‘downloaded:’ and then give a date on the right of where the word application is? Sorry if this is confusing, don’t really know how else to explain.

WoW. [USC Admission Letter Delivered to Jacob - YouTube](<a href=“USC Admission Letter Delivered to Jacob - YouTube”>USC Admission Letter Delivered to Jacob - YouTube)

Terrified. :O

my body is ready

Did I mess up?

I wrote in my generic why transfer essay about how I don’t like my current school because it is way too big, and how I find that my learning depends more on the teaching assistants leading my discussion rather than the professor leading the lecture.

But I forgot that USC functions in the same way, with its graduate students leading discussion sections as well, although the class sizes aren’t quite as large and the professors are generally more accessible…

Now I’m afraid they’ll read my essay and be like, “Well, she won’t like it here either,” and reject me.

Ughhhhhh.
