Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

Anyone on here know how I will have to get my SGR to USC? I haven’t received my letter in the mail yet. Just wondering if you can fax or have to send in your transcript from your school?

@ Transfer2OI3 you need to relax. They would accepted. Your essay and GPA are perfect match for them. I have confidence that you would get accepted. just relax

@ tomred SC has a lot of students from Texas. What makes USC so appeal to you compare to University of Texas?

According to Gallup, 77 percent of Americans think colleges need to cut tuition. Every single college is going to be judged via a cost-benefit analysis. This is not complicated. It should be understood by now.

@Dm1993 I have one W

@Dm1993 but its from this semester… so they dont know. yet.

@stanford78 I’m going to assume that you’re joking? But a "W’ means withdrawl from the course.

So I spoke with admissions earlier today…the lady told me all decisions (acceptances/rejections) will be sent out late May-early June. Looks like we still have a lot of waiting…

@ronaldot It will come faster than we think. Finals, on my opinion, will all help us keep our minds off of it and keep us busy lol

They used common app last year and I think the deadline was the same. Someone even said on here that the number of applicants were lower this year in comparison to last year. So I wonder why only SGRs have been released

HEY was there a place on the common app to list your entire history of classes you’ve ever taken in college)??? I know there was a place to list your current year’s courses.
-OR-
Do they just use your transcripts to see your entire academic history in college?

transcrpits… haha relax

@JR2013 thank you

@DM1993 USC does an entire academic background before even admitting you. I forgot to add on my common app that I attended Devry a few years back and i didn’t think it counted because I was only there for 2 weeks. However, 3 weeks ago, USC sent me an email and I also got a mailed letter from them asking me to send in my transcript from Devry ASAP.

My sgr came on usc connect! Wait, i have a question for sgr do they accept transcripts sent from my school to usc? My spring grades are already out!

@Transferring2012 What do you mean? They have to be official transcripts sent from your college to USC.

My sgr didn’t come in the mail it came on usc connect so it said additional instructions attached on how to submit your spring grades but it wasnt on there because it was on usc connect! Yeah, I am going to have my school send my transcripts to USC now because my school is already on summer break!

Does anyone know if its true that USC doesnt like it if you only take 12 units per semester? Im currently only taking 12 but already have about 10 units above most people in my year. I read a post here saying that they were rejected for taking 12 units instead of at least 15 and now im worried

@Transferring2012 That’s so chill! Pretty much the faster you get them in, the faster you’ll hear back with a decision !

@USCHopful11 I’m also scared about that! I only have 12 units in progress because I took a heavy course load my freshman year. And I just needed 12 more to hit the max of 64 units.
