Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

Even though I have 60 units but only the 30 or 38 or so that are part of USC requirements are going to transfer does that mean I’m a junior transfer or sophomore transfer. Ive been at a cc for 4 semesters and summers a year and 2 semesters?

For everyone that was asking about my major/stats

I am: First Year student at California Community College applied as Undecided major in Dornsife

Grades: 3.8 GPA (Fall and Winter grades are the only ones available)
4 Honors classes in my two quarters here
Finished Calculus 1 and 2
Finished English Reqs
And a couple GE’s

High SAT score

Extra Curriculars
Working 2 Jobs at the time of application

Legacy Status (Dad graduated from Viterbi)

SUPER STOKED for my acceptance. Good Luck to all applicants! Hope good news is soon to follow. The posts in here have given me a lot of relief along the way so thank you.

@keignat Stats???

To everyone getting an enrollment box. It means you have been accepted. This is coming from someone who was accepted last year! The sad thing is… :frowning: that they can rescind your admission from the school if you don’t keep your grades up. I was rescinded, but re-applied (better grades) and am awaiting a final verdict on the school again. Keep your hopes up guys/gals. Never lose faith.

Getting that package in the mail is something you will never forget as well. I remember it like yesterday. Its like a light beams out of it lol (SCA btw)

@texas how bad were your spring grades that they rescinded you ?</p>

plus sca is super hard to get into =[

One more thing to note. SCA students will not know anything until around May 26ish to about early June.

@transfer the thing is… they never asked for my spring grades :slight_smile: i had a 3.14 when accepted. Yeah a low GPA huh… lol. I was accepted outright which might shock some people, but in the fine print you must stay within a minimum of 3.0 on all current work. I made a D on a course that semester and when i sent my grades in right before orientation. I got the notice :confused: Never made a C or D in my life and it happened. I got rescinded.

I honestly worked really hard in the community to even have a chance and built up something to where i was like hey. Let me give it a shot. And i got in luckily. You really never know unless you try!

@well im sure sca doesn’t look at GPA more your profile and talent … still sad to here you got into a really competitive school and got rescinded hopefully you get in again ^^

@transfer thanks! yeah i’m hoping for the best, but either way it was learning experience.

I have a feeling that I am going to get rejected. Oh well, I will be pessimistic from now on so if I am rejected then I won’t feel as bad.

@frank why so ?

@frankbot i feel the same haha because all marshall apps have pretty much heard my oasis thing was prepared the 7th soo it just seeems like they already looked over my app n looked past it

@JR2013 don’t lose hope. I believe @alaintran9 said his OASIS had an error message but eventually changed once they evaluated which classes he would get credit for (which probably happened when they reviewed his application in depth) and then he was later accepted. So even if you have already had your OASIS prepared, it is not a sure rejection.

@JR2013 Yes, don’t lose hope! We are just into the first week and couple days, with a lot of time left! Anything can change, at any given time.

How do you say Fight On in Spanish??
Pelea or Lucha?

Anybody know when you that are admitted have to commit by? Is there a deadline like the high school kids had?

okey you guys give me hope! thanks for the support!

Did we need to send in official AP Score reports?
