Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

@alain lmao. my acceptance letter is dated May 7th too. so maybe you’ll get your’s tomorrow? hopefully :slight_smile: are you in CA? if so that’s weird that I got mine before you.

oh ok thanks! good to know. fingers crossed now for the next hurtle towards going to USC…

SCA pls
Pls SCA

@bubbletea94 Yep, definitely going to USC (it was the only school I applied to)! And I didn’t get the enrollment box either. Packet just came in the mail

Got in! I live 30 minutes away from USC, however the letter is dated Tuesday, May 7th and I recieved it on Saturday, May 11th. So hopefully that gives you guys a little farther away some breathing room! Also, I have a friend as USC who is filthy rich AND her whole family went to USC and she got her acceptance letter a week before June 1st! So don’t think if you haven’t got it you’re done because there is TOTALLY still a chance! They don’t send them all on the same day! Here are my stats, if anyone is wondering:

Stats:
College transferring from: Cypress Community College
Entering as: Sophomore, 4 units below Junior status though
GPA: 3.86
Major: Narrative Studies
Units to date: 54 (at time of applying only 34 were transferable)
Units in progress: 18.5
Pre-reqs & GE: All but third semester of college French (which is required for Dornsife)
Extras: Volenteer at my church’s middle school ministry and co-admin for a 5k-10k run/walk to raise funds for the building of fresh water wells in third-world countries. No job.
Essay: Just talked about how, in my mind, USC was my only preference. My love for my hometown (LA) and my love for learning and culture just makes USC a match! I don’t think essays are super important, however, a good one doesn’t hurt. I think I recall ending my “main” essay saying “I know what it means to fight on”

Horrible high school grades/SAT scores, but working endlessly in community has paid off. If I can do it, so can you! Fight on!

Anyone help me out here! I am an international student and now be back home… I got a SGR mail to my previous address in states. I have no idea how to submit my SG in a faster way and expedite my decision. Anyone who also got that mail let me know the instructions!!! Thank you so much!

Is anyone else not able to log into web registration? I can only log into oasis…not feeling too good about this y’all!!

@ smalone3d, don’t get me excited for SCA lol, we probably still have weeks to wait!

@Chloe, could you previously?

Do people with SGRs get offered spring admission? I’m really hoping to get in for the fall, but I don’t receive my final grades until the 22nd. (I’m coming from a 4 year and it should be another 4.0).

@Truman147 Just ask your current school to send your official transcripts to USC. You can order it online I think… Also, you could upload your unofficial transcripts on USConnect, but this is not required.

@TrojanTransfer13 Congratulations and thanks for sharing!!! I have not been requested to update my grades but my Oasis was prepared this morning. I’m hoping that’s a good sign.

@2016collegegirl Thanks for the encouragement. My second choice major is in Dornslife also. I’m a junior transfer with over 60 units so I’m expecting either a rejection or acceptance letter at this point lol I really want that yellow envelope, hope you get one too!!! Sending positive vibes your way :)

@tomred no !

When the heck is Annenberg going to release decisions?!!?! The wait in insane.

I am also waiting for Annemberg!!! So anxious!!!
Please let me know if u have receive any information.

@Chloe, currently I can go on it and see the fall classes to register for etc… But it’s probably because I got a SGR. I wouldn’t worry about it because I’m pretty sure I’ve read before that people that got rejected had access to it and then some that got accepted never had access. So either way it’s nothing. Lol

@ronaldot, honestly I think any SGR’s that get in are just completely tied in with the numbers from how many accepted transfers decide to enroll.

^I agree…anyone know how long they typically take to respond to SGR after you send in your grades?

@that1guyy and @Glorialulu911

I’m also waiting on annenberg and I’m dying!!
It’s giving me agita!

I’m having trouble studying for finals.

We got this though, I believe in us!

is dornslife done sending out decisions??

@veeyepea Good luck for all of us.
